Hey Lizard-Boy, is that a Sharpie in your nose or are you just… ummmm… a freak that likes to put markers in his nose?

OK, so they look ” special “, but if they ran for president and vice-president and made the right promises what percentage of the vote would they get?

    10%? 20%?

the corning of America. get ready to pay more for your beer folks. seems like the farmers make more growing corn than hops. thank you federal government for the intrusion on private enterprise.

yep beef up chicken up corn gas up and lower mileage satisfying a lobbyist for them.

hey will ya remember these inflation increases on the above listed items when you calculate my soc sec increase this year based on inflation?

or will you calculate it based on Moore’s law?

  17. T-Hawkk on July 6th, 2007 at 8:59 am

#9 obviously it’s going to feature a LOT of democrats, there’s no other reason the abcnbccbscnn networks would not have been frothing at the mouth to print the list.

If there were mostly republicans on there, the media would have been filing injunctions and threatening lawsuits to get the list released…

  18. dowjones25k on July 6th, 2007 at 9:01 am

I just did a post on that very topic last night.

  20. T-Hawkk on July 6th, 2007 at 9:04 am

#15 YES! Thank you stupid libtards for messing with our economy again! Let’s burn our food for fuel! Yea, great idea!

MORE proof that democrats have NO IDEA how basic economics works…

If we get 8 years of the Hildebeast we may very well descend into a third-world country.

ACtually, I don’t think democrats would mind that at all because it would create people who are permanently dependent on government…

  21. Cajun on July 6th, 2007 at 9:17 am

    Have you guys seen this:

    http://www.selectsmart.com/president/2008.html

I ended up with John McCain as #1 - which considering, is probably correct if he wasn’t such a wuss. And Fred 2nd.

  22. Fasternu 426 on July 6th, 2007 at 9:35 am

    Cajun, my candidate doesn’t exist.

    1. Theoretical Ideal Candidate (100%)
    2. Duncan Hunter (78%)
    3. Tom Tancredo (76%)
    4. Newt Gingrich (72%)

  23. Hamous on July 6th, 2007 at 9:40 am

Faster, that was exactly the order I got for the first four.

  24. Shannon on July 6th, 2007 at 9:43 am

    I ended up with Newt.

  25. squawkbox on July 6th, 2007 at 9:46 am

    #20
How the hell did I end up with Al Gore!??!!!

    I demand a recount.

Actually I ended up with Duncan Hunter as #1

John Mc was like at the bottom of the list before the dems.

  26. The Dude on July 6th, 2007 at 9:53 am

    1. Theoretical Ideal Candidate (100%)
    2. Duncan Hunter (86%)
    3. Tom Tancredo (86%)
    4. Chuck Hagel (77%)

Fred Thompson was down at #8 with 70%, only one point ahead of McCain.

Mike Huckabee actually fared worse for me than both Ron Paul and Rudy Giuliani (but not by much).

Interesting poll. I’d be interested in how much each response was “weighted” based on how important the issue was rated.

  27. bigjolly on July 6th, 2007 at 9:58 am

    Another demand for a recount.

    1. TIC (100%)
    2. Mitt Romney (73%)
    3. Tom Tancredo (71%)
    4. Duncan Hunter (65%)

Yikes. I didn’t “weigh” any of the issues. Gonna try again.

  28. Dave D on July 6th, 2007 at 10:00 am

That’s interesting, i’m not surprised that I got Newt, but I’d have thought that Fred Thompson would have been higher. Who is John Gilmore?! Gore Beats Hitlery?!?!
    1.Theoretical Ideal Candidate 100%
    2.Newt Gingrich 79%
    3.Chuck Hagel 75%
    4.Duncan Hunter 74%
    5.Jim Gilmore 72%
    6.Sam Brownback 71%
    7.Tom Tancredo 69%
    8.Fred Thompson 69%
    9.Mitt Romney 64%
    10.John McCain 63%
    11.Rudolph Giuliani 58%
    16.AL Gore ?? 28%
    20.Hillary Clinton ?? 21%
    25.Barack Obama 12%
    27.Dennis Kucinich 8%

  29. Hamous on July 6th, 2007 at 10:02 am

When I look at my list it seems that nuances that I probably take into consideration such as electability are not reflected. For instance, while I like Duncan Hunter, I don’t think there’s a snowball’s chance he could win the general election so I’d be less likely to vote for him in the primary.

  30. Dave D on July 6th, 2007 at 10:03 am

I guess that I’m a true Conservative. I like to think so.

  31. bigjolly on July 6th, 2007 at 10:05 am

Second try, clicked a few priorities. This poll sucks.

    1. TIC (100%)
    2. Mitt Romeny (69%)
    3. Tom Tancredo (67%)
    4. Ron Paul (65%)

    Holy cow, I’m tri-polar.

  32. The Dude on July 6th, 2007 at 10:06 am

For instance, while I like Duncan Hunter, I don’t think there’s a snowball’s chance he could win the general election so I’d be less likely to vote for him in the primary.

I thought the same thing. Which then made me wonder how often really awesome candidates have been passed up for that very reason.

  33. Dave D on July 6th, 2007 at 10:06 am

Hamous, right you are, I’m for Fred Thompson if Newt doesn’t run, because I think he could win in the general election. McCain for sure can’t win the general eletion, and I doubt the primary.

  34. The Dude on July 6th, 2007 at 10:07 am

    Retaken LGF style:

    1. Ron Paul (100%)
    2. Ron Paul (100%)
    3. Ron Paul (100%)
    4. Ron Paul (100%)
    5. Ron Paul (100%)

So how ’bout that Ron Paul, eh?

  35. Dave D on July 6th, 2007 at 10:09 am

#31 bigjolly, Ron Paul?!?! What? And how did Kucinich get 8% outta me?!?! That’s not good!

  36. Dave D on July 6th, 2007 at 10:11 am

    LGF Style?

  37. Hamous on July 6th, 2007 at 10:15 am

#32 Dude - There are some clear lines drawn, though. For instance, I don’t particularly care for Tancredo but if the choices in the primary were only McCain and Tancredo I would choose the Tank, knowing full well he would get blown out in the general election.

Right now, I’m with Dave. Gingrich or Thompson are the guys that could win the general election and require the least compromise of my positions.

  38. The Dude on July 6th, 2007 at 10:18 am

Yeah Dave, whenever Little Green Footballs would have a poll up that didn’t include Ron Paul as an option, the Ron Paul-ites of the blogosphere would send nastygrams to Charles Johnson about it. So it got to be a spoof thing that they’d include “Ron Paul” on every poll, even in polls where it was a completely senseless option.

    Great poll
    My top 10 are:
    Duncan Hunter (84%)
    Tom Tancredo (81%)
    Jim Gilmore (68%)
    Mitt Romney (68%)
    Sam Brownback (67%)
    Chuck Hagel (64%)
    John McCain (58%)
    Newt Gingrich (57%)
    Fred Thompson (56%)
    Rudolph Giuliani (49%)

It generally agrees with my opinion that I think a ticket with 2 of the 3 following would be a winner - Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, Fred Thompson. I think McCain only squeaked by Thompson because he was in the military.

    http://michaelyon-online.com/wp/baqubah-update-05-july-2007.htm

“The official reported that on a couple of occasions in Baqubah, al Qaeda invited to lunch families they wanted to convert to their way of thinking. In each instance, the family had a boy, he said, who was about 11-years-old…..”

Read the rest yourself. It’s baaaad!

The MSM and DNC is worried about a few of these guys that had panties on their heads and if they had a koran to read at gitmo. Britain’s PM is afraid of offending these animals. Geez! The west is toast if we put up with the koranimals….

    12. John McCain (53%)
    13. Rudolph Giuliani (53%)
    14. Ron Paul (40%)
    …and then the Dimlycrats

To be honest, I was surprised to find Mitt Romney as high on the list as he was, and to find Fred and Newt as low as they were (although I doubt Newt would be electable in the general).

And I was mortified to find I had a 22% agreement ratio with Shrillary, although most of that probably had to do with my answers of wanting a “fresh face” (no previous presidential runs) and “currently married to first spouse” (I guess she gets sympathy points there).

    some water songs for today..

Bobby Darin - Splish Splash Lyrics

    Splish, splash
    I was takin’ a bath
Long about a Saturday night… yeah!
    Rub-a-dub
    Just relaxin’ in the tub
    Thinkin’ everything was all right.

Well… I stepped out the tub
Put my feet on the floor
I wrapped the towel around me
    And I opened the door.

    And… then-a… splish, splash
I jumped back in the bath
Well… how was I to know
There was a party going on.

They was a splishin’ and a splashin’
    Reelin’ with the feelin’
    Moving and a groovin’
    Rockin’ and a rollin’… yeah!

    Bing, bang
    I saw the whole gang
Dancin’ on my living room rug… yeah…
    Flip flop
    They was doin’ the bop
All the teens had the dancin’ bug.

There was Lollipop with-a Peggy Sue
Good Golly, Miss Molly was-a even there, too!
    A-well-a…. splish, splash
    I forgot about the bath
I went and put my dancin’ shoes on… yea!

    I was a rollin’ and a strollin’
    Reelin’ with the feelin’
    Movin’ and a groovin’
    Splishin’ and a splashin’… yeah!

    Yes… I was a splishin’ and a splashin’
    I was a rollin’ and a strollin’
    Yeah… I was a movin’ and a groovin’ … woo!
We was a reelin’ with the feelin’… ha!
We was a rollin’ and a strollin’
    Movin’ with the groovin’
    Splish, splash… yeah!

    I was a splishin’ and a splashin’… one time…
    I was a splishin’ and a splashin’… woo-woo!
    I was a movin’ and a-groovin’…

Gene Kelly - Singin’ In The Rain Lyrics

    I’m singing in the rain
    Just singin’ in the rain
    What a glorious feeling
    I’m happy again
    I’m laughing at clouds
    So dark up above
    The sun’s in my heart
    And I’m ready for love
    Let the stormy clouds chase
    Everyone from the place
    Come on with the rain
I’ve a smile on my face
    I walk down the lane
    With a happy refrain
Singin’, just singin’ in the rain
