Let the hate-filled left-wing rants begin!

  2. american woman on July 30th, 2007 at 4:20 pm

Schumer today was decrying the appointment of Roberts and Alito. He is determined to not have any more Bush appointments pass, and his words ” feels Roberts and Alito pulled the wool over their eyes” . If you heard any of the interrogation of these two judges, you would know how stupid the left sounded trying to question them. When the left cannot win by voting they will rule by the courts.

    2. aw

I think Chuckie’s comments are a scream. After the last 20 years of S Ct nominations, I don’t know if I’d admit to being as gullible as he apparently is.

tedtam, dailykos has a couple of hall monitors trying to keep the hate-filled nuts in check, without much success. This particular comment caught my eye:

I cannot help thinking of all the injury and death he will cause by whittling away at abortion rights.

How can they say that with a straight face?

Hamous - Because the liberals of the 21st century are mentally diseased. Seriously, their poor brains just simply do not work as they were designed to work… It’s tragic, actually. I pity most of them…

Can you imagine trying to get through the day with thoughts and beliefs such as your example from Kos?

  6. T-Hawkk on July 30th, 2007 at 5:54 pm

How come they can post on LST, but we can’t post on their site?

You know what’s really sad? You are so caught up in your ideology that it did not occur to you to actually be concerned for his health and well-being. That’s all that I could think about, and I am no fan of his decisions. The man quite possibly has a hidden illness that could cut short his life, or at least his productive life, long before his natural peak. My own daughter has had an occasional seizure, and let me tell you, few things are more frightening to family members. It can be worse for the family members than the victim, since the victim may not have any actual memory of what took place. And think about riding the bus to work for part or even the rest of your life — think about it! My daughter is 19 and still does not have a drivers license because of it.

Think about the man and forget about your stupid politics for once.

Good grief, he just took a fall………and was only taken to a hospital as a precaution. They did not say, he suffered a seizure and had to be hospitalized. I took a fall walking the dog and had to skinnded knees…. big deal. I think Justice Roberts is a fine man. I think Schumer is a dangerous goofus.

  9. bigjolly on July 30th, 2007 at 6:37 pm

But, AW, did he take a fall with the correct angle from on high?

  10. american woman on July 30th, 2007 at 6:49 pm

huh bigjoll? splain splain? Do you mean do I think he had a head injury? I think they would have said so, if he did.

  11. Hamous on July 30th, 2007 at 6:51 pm

They are now reporting it was a seizure with no immediate cause found yet.

  12. T-Hawkk on July 30th, 2007 at 6:51 pm

John Roberts is not my friend. He’s the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Why shouldn’t I think of it in a political manner?

At this point, I have some suspicions of operatives of the Democrat Party having something to do with this.

  13. american woman on July 30th, 2007 at 6:58 pm

Oh Hamous that does change things. I thought he just took a tumble…….. Sorry I was so glib.

  14. southerntragedy on July 30th, 2007 at 7:04 pm

#7 GR: That is terrible. I cannot imagine waiting your WHOLE life to be able to drive, only to find out that you can’t. I’m so sorry. I hope she will be able to someday.

So can we start spreading “interesting theories” about how Schumer caused the seizure? Maybe get a college professor from some obscure college to come up with a theory on how it happened and start a website to publicize it?

    /trutherwhacko

  16. american woman on July 30th, 2007 at 7:39 pm

OK a theory on Shumer and the seizure. While Justice Roberts was sleeping…….. Schumer flew a radio controlled fly up his nose. The fly was imbedded with a drug that excellerates a seizure in those who have had at least one. The fly works its way into the sinus passages……. (did anyone mention Justice ) When the fly attaches itself to the highest point it can go….. ( not a physiology person) a seizure results. Schumer was seen buying a minute motor for his fly and after checking his email, it was discovered the drug was purchased online.

  17. Matt Bramanti on July 30th, 2007 at 7:42 pm

The fly was imbedded with a drug that excellerates a seizure in those who have had at least one.

Close, but it was actually coated with anaerobic microbes.

  18. american woman on July 30th, 2007 at 7:51 pm

crud I messed up my theory……. it should read, did anyone mention Justice Roberts blowing his nose and sneezing a lot. Matt is right it was those nassy microbes.

  19. Adee on July 30th, 2007 at 8:49 pm

Actually the fly was covered in ragweed pollen that had the microbes clinging to it as a cover for the seizure-causing drug smuggled over the Canadian border by illegal Irish immigrants on their way to Boston. The sneezing released the pollen and the drug, thus the seizure. Schumer has microscopic pollen particles on his clothes, which CSI New York will find if somebody calls them in.

  20. Dov on July 30th, 2007 at 8:59 pm

It was evidently a seizure. Lets hope and pray he does well.

  21. Superman on July 30th, 2007 at 10:28 pm

My wife has epilepsy and has occasional seizures; the danger in these type is not necessarily the seizure, but what happened with Roberts - falling down and hitting your head. Or driving and getting into an accident.

Very scary and awful to live with even with medication.

    Hopefully he’ll be just fine.

  22. Gritsforbreakfast on July 31st, 2007 at 11:10 am

BTW, an “idiopathic” seizure basically means the doctors don’t have a solitary clue what caused it or what to do about it.

FWIW, the Chief Justice apparently has not been diagnosed as epileptic, in which case as Superman notes the risks would be mainly secondary injuries. Other brain and nervous system disorders that cause out-of-the-blue seizures, though, could raise more significant concerns about his ability to do that job, so depending on what turns out to be wrong with him this might be important, regardless of Sen. Schumer’s preferences or the breathless 24-hour news coverage.
