One tRick Perry is bad for Texas. I refused to vote for him in the last election and am proud of it.

  2. tedtam on July 30th, 2007 at 8:30 am

Oh! I hadn’t realized people were actually giving him MONEY. I thought he’d be the recipient of something else.

  3. southerntragedy on July 30th, 2007 at 8:50 am

I think now would be a great time to bombard Rick Perry with the empty wallet campaign like Tedtam suggested a while back ago. I’ve got 6 right now and waiting for the go ahead. Who’s in?

#1 LawrenceC. I didn’t vote for him in the last election and proud of it as well! /hmmmmm, I see a slogan for a bumper sticker!

  4. RickG on July 30th, 2007 at 8:52 am

Or is he getting a head start on a race for Senator? (Can he spend this money for that?)

  5. Dave D on July 30th, 2007 at 8:52 am

“We have a lot of unfinished business in Texas. If we are going to give Texans (tax) appraisal relief, real spending restraint, additional tax relief and honest budgeting…” WHAT!?!? How can he say that with a straight face?
Ya’ll just keep voting the Party Line.
But, don’t blame me, I voted for the Village Idiot, “Kinky”.
BEAM ME UP SCOTTY!!!! There’s no intelligent life left in TAXES.

  6. Dave D on July 30th, 2007 at 8:56 am

#3 ST, I take cancelled checks made out to C.L.O.U.T, white-out the account, number copy them and send them back in the Postage paid envelope! They sent the last two that I sent Perry, (last Fall), back to me! I love it!

  7. Dave D on July 30th, 2007 at 8:59 am

I have a question, do you think that “Gov’ Breck Girl” has his staff monitor this site? I know that they listen to Dan’s show. HUMMMM,…Interesting~

#6: hee hee, you sly fox!

  9. bigjolly on July 30th, 2007 at 9:04 am

RickG, no can do on transferring the money to a federal race. He can give it to other state campaigns or run for governor again.

  10. DanielJames on July 30th, 2007 at 9:05 am

Hell yeah he has unfinished business. He isnt finished destroying this state and America via the TTC, NAU, etc.

    Keep your eyes open folks.

I was curious about the claim that Farmer’s land was being taken at below market value

Farmer’s and homeowners generally think that their property is near priceless when school boards or government entities come calling.

No one wants their property taken, its a hard thing to defend but to make the claim the state is stealing property is over the top at least give us a link or proof of such - its only fair - don’t you think

  12. AZ on July 30th, 2007 at 9:27 am

    A Paul/Perry ticket in 08!

What would the tag line be?

  13. EricPJohnson on July 30th, 2007 at 9:28 am

Here’s a link to why Perry is or had vetoed the bill in question

    http://corridornews.blogspot.com/2007/06/trans-texas-corridor-land-grabs-remain.html

  14. jacampbell on July 30th, 2007 at 9:33 am

He may want to use the money to construct the Bush/Perry travel rest stop on the border crossing for the new trans corridor. The politicians never go away. Serve and leave is my view. I cannot stand these 20-30 year political careers. I know it is difficult to be president or a US senator without some experience but political experience is not really work experience. It is more of learning who/how to get financial backing and pad the pockets for your family in the future. If he made a US Senate run who would he go against? As always we need to kill the disease in the primary and not wait to just get someone in because they are not Democrat (even if in affiliation only).

    Start now Kinky!!! Start now!!

  16. Wino on July 30th, 2007 at 10:17 am

Maybe his border protection promise at the last minute during the last election is some of the unfinished business? Slicing Texas in two for his Spanish buddies is still not done. We still have some children who have not been made medical guinea pigs, as well.

Yep, lots of unfinished business, there, Gov. Perry (D), Texas.

  17. EricPJohnson on July 30th, 2007 at 11:12 am

    Wino,

Do you have any any proof to this? This was planned before him almost 20 years ago

Second, where is your proof of anything you said in that statement

    Anything….

  18. dowjones25k on July 30th, 2007 at 11:19 am

perry and many others in austin should be plenty worried in the upcoming 2008 election.

if its a rino or smells like a rino i will skip the spot or vote democrapy. they need to be purged out of the republican party and voting demcrapy will expedite that event.

yea i have heard about getting active in the primaries which i do vote in but just what choices were presented to us? fix republicans or die!

  19. Wino on July 30th, 2007 at 11:45 am

Proof of what? That he promised more border protection at the last minute of last election? We all saw the ads. We just don’t see any action following up on the ads.

I didn’t say he PLANNED the TransTexasCorridor, but I did insinuate that he supports it. This, too, is a known fact.

Lastly, he signed an executive order to pay back his buddies at Merck have our children vaccinated by force.

What do I have to support or prove? It’s all public record, and was all over the TV and the Houston Comical when it happened.

  20. AZ on July 30th, 2007 at 12:26 pm

    #18, dj25k,

Why does the party support the rino’s? I do not get it? Is it more important to the party to have a fake member in office then a real one?

Supporting the party is the problem, what are they selling you?

  21. tedtam on July 30th, 2007 at 12:27 pm

    ST - empty wallet campaign

I’m in! Empty wallets. Pictures of empty wallets. Pictures of empty pockets. Get creative!

  22. Narly on July 30th, 2007 at 12:36 pm

Right you are #10. I don’t want to be any part of Governor Goodhair’s unfinished business. He hasn’t done a single good thing for Texans that I can recall. In my mind, that indeed makes him the worst governor. If he were a conservative leader, we’d have a secure border, or at least be making advances to that end, property tax caps, a school financing plan, and on and on and on and on.

  23. AZ on July 30th, 2007 at 12:45 pm

#21 using the idea from the 7-UP uncola commercials last month I created an undonation form to be sent to a politician or the party.

I believe I saved it, will look tonight.

  24. EricPJohnson on July 30th, 2007 at 1:00 pm

    Wino

First of all, Merck signed no contracts with the state, two a second and cheaper vacine is now available from a competitor something Perry was aware of.

If you did not know this now you do.

He promised aid to the border and dedicated 120 million dollars which was budgeted - and will be distributed next year - the only governor in Texas History to devote funds and resources to the border

If you are still angry over the failure to pass property tax relief, thats another issue, but on the points you raised

Again, your statements don’t match the facts reported by various independent sources

  25. EricPJohnson on July 30th, 2007 at 1:10 pm

    Also Wino

You could sign a release to opt out of the vaccination, however the child and the parents had to give up the right to Sue their doctor and the state if they wished to not protect their daughters from cancer

Also, all states and all countries vaccinate children by force except some 4th world african countries

If you were not aware of that basic decades old fact be considered informed now

  26. AZ on July 30th, 2007 at 1:13 pm

    #24 Eric,

In my opinion Gov. perry has failed with border security. I expect him to pound on this issue everyday, show the crime, the crowded ER rooms, show the day laborers, nothing is more important to the health of Texas then this problem. It affects every other problem we face in Texas.

I expect him to send state troops and/or DPS down to the border, he needs to put Bush on notice, make a fool of him for failing to protect our country and state. Where is Perry regarding the border guards?

It is more important to Perry tro be a party man then do what is right.

  27. AZ on July 30th, 2007 at 1:21 pm

Eric you are correct there was an opt out option, but intelligent people like us understand that. Most citizens would follow like sheep and ask no questions. And what about those who claim poverty? Who will pay their cost? Oh yea, you and me. Another large expensive government program, guess it would work as great as the stop AIDS and drugs programs.

  28. american woman on July 30th, 2007 at 1:54 pm

Anyone who has pictures of empty wallets please send. I am in on the campaign or send the undonate sheet……… Would the inteligent, handsome and world class moderator please see that my email is directed to that person……. I’m not email protective. I would be interested to see who is giving Perry money. He won’t get my vote.

  29. DanielJames on July 30th, 2007 at 4:43 pm

    Wino

EPJ musta forgotten Tricks promise to secure the border only to have him say it cant be secured 14 days after he won.

    Huck Fim!

Whoever asked about supporting Rinos? Fear makes people vote for a known liar. Fear of what ifs. What if Kinky woulda won? What if we elect a known liar who doesnt give a rip about Texas and isnt a conservative?

    Keep it up fauxcons.

  30. bigjolly on July 30th, 2007 at 5:50 pm

Like I said DJ, sometimes one must begrudgingly tell the truth. The Texas border is more secure today than it was when those campaign commercials aired. The border funding bill did pass, albeit not in the form I thought he promised.

Whether he was forced to do it or not, it is a fact. My issues with him are far different.

  31. EricPJohnson on July 30th, 2007 at 11:02 pm

    Az

What every are you going to do when that comfort blanket of the Border is removed

  32. PBFloyd on July 31st, 2007 at 7:59 pm

EPJ: You must have been in politics a long time to ask such absurdly gallactically stupid questions, like the last one……come to think of it, like most of yours are!!

  33. PBFloyd on July 31st, 2007 at 8:00 pm

Oh, and concur with lawrence as usual: I am proud not to have voted for Prick Rerry………!
