The still wet-behind-the(very big)-ears Barack Obama continues to reel from the brutal machinations of Hillary Clinton.
Like her or hate her, one had better respect her abilities. Since luring Obama into her trap of responding to charges - and by responding proving his incredible naivete - that his foreign policy positions are dangerous and foolish, Hillary has been beating him like a drum, and proving he is hardly in her league. Consequently, her numbers have been steadily rising and his falling.
WASHINGTON — New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has significantly widened her lead over Illinois Sen. Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination in the wake of a dispute over handling foreign policy, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds.
The survey, taken Friday through Sunday, puts Clinton at 48% — up 8 percentage points from three weeks ago — and Obama at 26%, down 2 points. Among Democrats and independents who “lean” Democratic, former North Carolina senator John Edwards is at 12%.
It is somewhat refreshing to know that folks are starting to see through the phony that is Obama - all style and no substance. Oprah may still pant after him, but fewer of the voting public are.
The bad news? We’re left with only Hillary.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Barack Obama’s presidential campaign sought on Monday to assure his supporters he is a potent force and that national polls showing a big lead for Hillary Clinton are of little consequence at this stage.
Doesn’t this sound similar to what John McCain’s people said when his campaign started circling the drain?

When will all the other Dimwit candidates get into the fray?? If they let HELLary get too far ahead they won’t be able to catch her. HELLary has skeltons in her closet (and she has a big closet) plus she is still considered unelectable, it’s just that no one has stepped forward. I look to Algore to step in, his “wooden” ego will prompt him to enter.
The problem with Hillary walking away with this is we will still end up with Obama…as the VP candidate.
Hillary’s OK as the Dem candidate.
With her negatives, she should be easy to beat as long as we get a strong candidate.

Read that and was very amused. Those people think WAAAAY too highly of themselves. Lookin’ at the world through limo tint.
I don’t think Obama is a phony: he has never really tried to present himself as substantive. He said as he was deciding to run that he saw an opportunity to take advantage of a popularity bubble that would never happen again, so he would be foolish to not go for it. No matter the outcome of the primary battles, Obama comes out way ahead, unless he has a Mike Gravel moment. As young as he is, he can go a long time and still have a shot at the presidency — even in 2028, at least in theory. And Hillary would be nuts not to pick him as veep: he is the best possible protection against a right-wing attempt on her life.

#12 Ghost Rider yes Obama is young and that means he has time to make many, many mistakes. He will have a voting record to peruse. Will he be president one day, hopefully not. He isn’t good on terror today, and is a social programs advocate. Tax the rich, give to the poor…….. rich making $60,000 or more.
