    Nice eh?

If plain, old-fashioned stupidity were a punishable crime, Ray Nagin would be serving a life sentence. His blatant racism aside, the man is simply a moron. It is sad to see the legacy of a fine, old American city descend to this.

The fact that no one can speak the truth about this situation, even when it is blatantly obvious, is a testament to the success of PC in America.

Only in Louisiana. The most politically corrupt system in the US.

Pay attention to Murders in New Orleans and maybe we might “overlook” Jefferson, Nagin, Blanco,The Levee money,

Hell should we send more $$ down there and let em choke to death on it.

Morning all. I am headed to Luby’s for a breakfast omelet

Safty first - accidents are way down.!

I remember 40 years ago tourists went to see the sights in New Orleans:

    — a herion junkie laying/sitting on the sidewalk drooling over himself.

    — an ugly french whore leaning out the send floor of a French Quarter joint

    –lot of filth, etc

Now one can see the same in any city over 100,000 in this fair land!

Guess the “New Orleans brand” has lost it uniqueness?

I was listening to the police scanner at work yesterday. A call came over and they were looking for a 24 year old woman who may have been in The Woodlands area. She was from Louisana and had “allegedly” killed a cop over there.

    Watch out folks!

Mayor Nagin must be in line for some kind of dubious prize for this latest one. Insert both feet in mouth up to the knees. Is he approaching Darwin Award territory?

  9. vlou on August 12th, 2007 at 10:10 am

Crime and corruption are alive and well in New Orleans and other parts of Louisiana…no wonder they are always at the bottom in ratings on cities, etc.

My Dad, brother and his son are driving over to NO next week for a few days. You couldn’t PAY me to ever go back to that dump.

This reminds me of Mayor Marion Berry of Washington, D.C. where as long as you can play the “race card” no one will dare question your intentions on helping the “brothers” at the expense of the “brothers”. So, like Berry, Nagin gets reelected no matter what he says or does because everything is for the “brothers”. This is one of the reasons black people get no respect because they can’t police their own race. if New Orleans keep reelecting Nagin, we will all keep laughing along with the rest of the country when he misspeaks and does stupid things, all in the name of perserving the “Chocolate” city.

The pic that accompanied this article the first time I saw it says it all. A street vendor in Nawlins selling tee shirts that said:

    Drink till Nagin makes sense.”

    The scary thing?

This buttwipe will likely take Willy Jefferson’s place in Congress and we’ll have his input on what should be happeneing all over the country.

Let’s hope he isn’t put in charge of writing evacuation plans—-

  13. EricPJohnson on August 12th, 2007 at 11:55 am

    Sarge

He sits on the Parish committee for evacuation

Remember when the honorable Nagin came to Houston to get votes for his election?……. I wondered then if he were visiting Houston grave yards to add to the voter registration list, since he could no longer use the dead folks in N.O. What an example of humanity is this man.

Nagin - suffers from athlete’s foot of the mouth

Actually, Republicans should be thankful for Mr. Nagin. If it weren’t for Ray, George Bush would be the stupidest politician alive.

    :) THAT, was funny!

I was coming back from a wonderful afternoon at my old hood, Moonshine Hill. Heard on the radio, they busted a woman who her and her boyfriend killed 3 people from Louisana. /don’t know if they caught the “refugee” from yesterday. This was NOT her.

I have a former co-worker, sweet lady and dear Christiam friend who lives here with her husband, but is 4th generation NO. I asked her how the people of NOLA could re-elect such a utter imbecile?? Especially in light of his handling the city government during Katrina.

She said and swore it was true that they bussed in displaced ‘Katrina refugees’ from all over and out lying areas, including Houston, to get him re-elected.

Stupid is as stupid gets………..! But evidently someone pretty high up in the food chain wants ol’ light bulb head to be in office there in NOLA, for whatever reason.

  22. Owen Courrèges on August 13th, 2007 at 2:22 pm

    GoodJobTim,

Well, I’m certainly not going to come out of the woodwork to defend Nagin’s latest inane comments. As far as New Orleans, the crime problem is certainly out of control… but Houston is no spring peach, either. In certain areas, Houston usually surpasses NO in crime.

Correction: That WAS her. Arrested around I-10.
Cop Killers in our city. Imagine that.
