  3. I.P.A.Bill on August 13th, 2007 at 6:42 am

Well…… There goes the congresstional investigation .

  4. EricPJohnson on August 13th, 2007 at 6:45 am

Yep, now the Democrats have to actually maybe even govern

  5. Hamous on August 13th, 2007 at 7:05 am

#3 - You think this will stop them?

  6. EricPJohnson on August 13th, 2007 at 7:09 am

    #5

Its going to be tough as a private citizen to be compelled to appear and then as a citizen, he can take the 5th

  7. EricPJohnson on August 13th, 2007 at 7:09 am

But you’re right its difficult to stop dems when they cross all boundaries

  8. davewolfgang on August 13th, 2007 at 7:17 am

So does this mean Mr. Bush will now listen to the people that elected him…..

…..not going to hold my breath on that one.

  9. I.P.A.Bill on August 13th, 2007 at 7:17 am

If you have not seen the MSNBC online story about this you should. be shure and watch the video -Chris Mathews - Priceless !

    Yah;

The people get real pizzed at folks who don’t do what they want them to do after they get elected:

  13. sargevining on August 13th, 2007 at 8:13 am

But all of this leaves me with one question:

Who are they going to hate after 2008?

  14. Hamous on August 13th, 2007 at 8:15 am

    Whoever is President.

  15. sargevining on August 13th, 2007 at 8:19 am

    Unless it’s a Democrat—-

  16. southerntragedy on August 13th, 2007 at 8:23 am

I heard that Carl Rove had temporarily lost the weather machine that we were hiding from the Chinese. That’s the reason that he is resigning. They managed to recover the weather machine in London, however. Whew!

  17. sargevining on August 13th, 2007 at 8:27 am

I heard that it was The Honorable Doctor Ron Paul who saved the day in London, BTW

  18. AZ on August 13th, 2007 at 8:31 am

    Is Cheney next?

The reason we will be given, for health reasons?

  19. Hamous on August 13th, 2007 at 8:34 am

#15 That could be the new rallying cry for the Dems:

    Bush will be gone!
    Isn’t it great?
But who will we hate in 2008?

But there are a core group of people (and they know who they are) who will hate all elected officials, regardless of their party affiliation or successes.

  20. An Observer on August 13th, 2007 at 9:00 am

If the Dem’s get total power:

    1. Hillary care.
    2. Socialized medicine.
    4. Gay marriage.
    5. Open borders.
    6. Increased taxes.
    7. Decreased national security.
    8. Increased Government in general.

Feel free to add to the list.

  21. DanielJames on August 13th, 2007 at 9:01 am

With approval ratings in the 20% range I’d say it isnt just dems drinking haterade for Bush, Rove or Tricky Dick.

Who cares what Rove does. He didnt put his hand on the Bible swearing to uphold the Constitution only to spit upon that very same document and then crap on his base. That was GW you silly rabbit.

  22. AZ on August 13th, 2007 at 9:05 am

#20 We have 6 out of 8 now, so how much different will it be.

  23. gadboy on August 13th, 2007 at 9:07 am

Obsever- Bush has already given us #5, #7, and #8.

  24. Hamous on August 13th, 2007 at 9:07 am

Actually its hovering around 30% but who’s counting?

  25. Elizabeth on August 13th, 2007 at 9:07 am

These long good byes are torture. See ya! Wouldn’t wanna be ya! Adieu! Farewell! Bon Voyage! Sayonara!

  26. Hamous on August 13th, 2007 at 9:10 am

Uh, the borders were open long before Bush. He just continued to ignore the problem. But he has given us #8.

  27. DanielJames on August 13th, 2007 at 9:46 am

    Yo spin master

He just continued to ignore them after an unprecedented out cry from the American people demanding something be done to secure them and after 911.

    There is a huge difference.

    Reply to No. 20:

If you want a list of things that could happen if the Dimwits get in charge, here is my “Top Ten” list of very bad things that could happen under the Dimwits:

    1) HELLary as President (aka a puppet for Bill).

    2) Spreading of the wealth by taxing the rich.

    3) More taxes on the oil companies because they are just making too much profit.

    4) Socialize anything and everything.

    5) Rampant “tax and spend” legislation.

    6) Citizenship for potential Dimwit voters (aka illegal aliens).

    7) Investigation and prosecution of any high ranking Republican.

    8) Isolationism.

    9) Lose our “superpower” status.

    10) “Politically Correct” everything so that the minority rules.

    Try these!!!!

  29. Hamous on August 13th, 2007 at 9:57 am

    #27 - “…unprecedented out cry from the American people…”

That didn’t occur until the amnesty bill came up this year. And guess what? It worked! Amnesty went down in flames. Since this is off-topic on the Rove story see my front page post. (Oooh, just realized that appeared to be blatant post pimping. Sorry bigjolly.)

  30. Rastus on August 13th, 2007 at 10:23 am

#16 - I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Rove’s resignation can only mean one thing - the Chicom have got the weather machine and are smuggling it off to prepare for the Olympic Games. Obviously, Rove, the evil genius designer of the thing to begin with, is the only person who can locate it’s secret tracker beam through his specially implanted device and then take the necessary steps to disable it should the Chicoms want to use it against Rooskies or the USA or somebody. Now just imagine if he were in the employ of the US and was captured while trying to execute this daring plan - international outrage. No, he has to resign so as to preserve plausible deniability in the event of capture. Sorry about the length of this post, but it is just too important to try to skimp on details. More later.

much of that has occured over the past 6 years. I do not want Hillary elected, but the problem is the GOP has allowed its brand or label to be cheapened and damaged by rinos and has done nothing to protect it.

How about throwing the rinos out of the party? No it is more important to the party leaders to have an “R” next to the elected individuals name even though that individual will not folllow the party platform or its beliefs.

The conservatives have no power in the party, are being fed lip service, and are being used for votes and donations. No different then those who blindly follow and support the Dems.

You have the choice between a liar on the left and a liar on the right in most cases, there are a few exceptions.

  32. DanielJames on August 13th, 2007 at 10:30 am

“…unprecedented out cry from the American people…”

I would say it started in 2005 when the Minuteman stood watch on the border.

Keep in mind GW was still hell bent on giving away the store even after the out cry.. And still is.

  33. DanielJames on August 13th, 2007 at 10:31 am

    Great point!

Reply to No. 28: You are right, it has gotten to the point where we can’t tell the difference between a Dimwit and a Rino. Having the Dimwits in charge will only gurantee what is probably already happening!!!!!

  35. houstondem on August 13th, 2007 at 11:52 am

#28 What evidence do you have that ANY of those will go occur? Has she said something in the debates? No. Does her voting record indicate she is a “socialist”? No. Did she do something as first lady to make you believe any of that stuff you spout? Nope.

“Did she do something as first lady to make you believe any of that…”

Geez, what planet have you been vacationing on? Read up on some history, like how the Germans invaded America and burned Atlanta during the Mexican American War of 1812, and how it ended with the Treaty of Versailles.

  37. Hamous on August 13th, 2007 at 12:07 pm

    houstondem, you’re joking, right?

Hillary on Bush tax cuts, income redistribution, and socialized medicine:

Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York said money from the elimination of tax cuts that were a cornerstone of President Bush’s economic policies would finance universal health care for all Americans. She criticized Bush for what she called his indifference to income inequity.

Her support for the amnesty bill is public record. I gotta agree with faster, what planet are you on?

The difference between the two political parties?

Both are like chocolate chip cookies, except one also has nuts in it.

  43. Robert M on August 13th, 2007 at 1:20 pm

    Reply to No. 35:

First of all it is in the history of the Dimwit Party to do all of the above. The Dimwit platform has always include the above doctrines. Your certainly not implying that HELLary is a DINO (Democrat In Name Only). HELLary’s first job as First Lady was to devise a healthcare program that was socialistic as can be. If that plan was so good how come it didn’t get implimented? Do you not listen to her speeches prior to running for President and now on the campaign trail?? HELLary knows the ultra left wing liberals will vote for her so all she has to do is try to look moderate and get elected (aka Bill’s success plan).

  44. TheRipper on August 13th, 2007 at 4:16 pm

I’m tired of supporting the losing side, so henceforth, I shall support the Democratic party. Here are some of the reasons.

o End to homelessness (or at least reporting of the same)
o Finally the ‘rich’ (i.e. those who make more than me) will finally have to pay their ‘fair share’
o Christopher Reeve will walk again
o Teach those RINOs a lesson
o A new spirit of bipartisanship (i.e. the Reps agreeing with the Dem position)
o Free health care (and don’t you dare call it socialized medicine)
o The economy will boom, cause there will be no end to MSM reports about how good the economy is
o No more congressional investigations, cause the Dems are as clean as wind driven snow
    o Peace in our time
o End to global warming; thereby ending hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, bridge collapses, days too hot, days too cold, and
virtually any other weather phenomena not ‘normal’.

  45. american woman on August 13th, 2007 at 4:47 pm

Hillary, will enforce the fairness doctrine. She will require children go to ” school” (indoctrination) from the age of 3. She will remove parental power. The government will grow to handle citizens needs to the point we are a socialist country…….. Her picture will hang in every building and we will salute her in the morning. Our kids will be dressed alike in little gray suits………. so they look asexual. :)

  46. houstondem on August 13th, 2007 at 5:55 pm

OMG HILLARY IS GOING TO FORCE US TO GO TO MOSQUES AND KISS THE FEET OF MUSLIMS AND THEN WE WILL BE A SOCIALIST NATION AND THEN EVERY MEXICAN WILL COME HERE AND GET ABORTIONS AND BURN THE FLAG AND THE GAYS ARE GOING GET MARRIED AND BECOME TERRORISTS!!!!!

OMG OMG OMG!!! PLEASE SAVE US FRED THOMPSON!!!

Get off it. Hillary is a moderate democrat who is going to pander to wall street, increase globalization and will probably keep troops in Iraq just like Bush. Obama or Edwards would give us the real change we need.

  47. Hamous on August 13th, 2007 at 6:02 pm

houstondem, I noticed you didn’t dispute any of the facts STRAIGHT FROM HILLARY’S MOUTH about what her intentions are.

  48. Neocon on August 13th, 2007 at 7:08 pm

    Hamous,
    #47

I don’t think you’ll get an answer because houstondem cannot answer. She said what she said. Period. Paragraph.

    Houstondem
    #46

Stop screaming! It is distracting and adds nothing to your so-called “argument.” Save it for du or kos. They are used to it. Hillery is a far left socialist who has to move to the center (just like her husband) to get votes. Nothing more, nothing less. She will revert to her left wing roots once (and if) she is elected. Her husband was the most politically astute men I think we have ever seen, but she is not in his league. Remember, Bill never got close to 50% of the vote, ever.

  49. Hamous on August 13th, 2007 at 8:01 pm

    Is houstondem a woman? I wasn’t sure.

  50. american woman on August 13th, 2007 at 8:18 pm

IF houston dem likes the breck girl………it must be the shampoo or the hair but.

  51. Neocon on August 13th, 2007 at 8:36 pm

    Hamous,

I was referring to Hellery when I said “She said what she said.” If that is what you were talking about. Who knows about houstondem.

  52. Hamous on August 13th, 2007 at 8:45 pm

#51 Oooh, I see that now. Sometimes your mind reads things a different way.

  53. Neocon on August 13th, 2007 at 9:31 pm

    Hamous,

Sorry! I can see now how I could have led you astray!

  54. Hamous on August 13th, 2007 at 9:46 pm

I should say, sometimes MY mind reads things a different way.

  55. Maltboy! on August 14th, 2007 at 8:14 am

This reminds me of the scene in the Wizard of Oz when the Scarecrow (Bush) goes to the Wizard (Rove) for his brain, and realizes he had one all along (except for the fact that Bush is screwed because he never had a brain to begin with).

  56. plonker on August 14th, 2007 at 11:28 pm

Despite what Chron says, Rove was no further Right than Kennedy.
