The sorriest excuse for a president or leader since Johnson or Carter.

I don’t care what President Bush does with his remaining term. His legacy will be the war in Iraq, good or bad—-only time will tell.

How come HELLary gets to go on cable news to spell out her health plan, isn’t that free campaigning?? Boy, liberal media will do anything to help their “chosen one”!!!

And if they wanted to solve the health care problem, then quit paying for the illegal aliens and there would plenty of money for the uninsured LEGAL AMERICAN CITIZENS!!!!!

    Holy cow.

If true, this guy will be vilified as no other Republican in history.

There isn’t a health care problem as we have the best health care in the world. The problem is that some people either choose not to have insurance (younger people would rather spend their money on other tings) or cannot afford private insurance. Many of the latter get free health care at clinics and hospitals like Ben Taub. Is it what I would choose? No, but the phrase “life isn’t fair” does come into play. When I’m retired I would like to travel the world. Am I entitled to have someone else pay for it just ’cause?

  5. Tektite on September 18th, 2007 at 2:09 pm

There is certainly a health care problem. It is around us all the time. The fact that the mental health experts seem unable to recognize that the liberal democrats are mentally ill and need a lobotomy

  6. dcgirl on September 18th, 2007 at 2:29 pm

But Tektite, how could you tell if the lib has had part of his brain removed? Would it be the scar?

  7. Shannon on September 18th, 2007 at 2:46 pm

I can’t agree there is no problem with the health care delivery system in this country.

I will say that “universal–government as single payer” system is not the answer.

  8. Robert M on September 18th, 2007 at 2:57 pm

If the government can’t handle Medicare and Social Security, how is it going to handle the ADDITION of health insurance administration???

Mandating something like what HELLary proposes is retarded at best. We mandate car liability insurance and where are we on that. We mandate immigration policies and where are we on that. The government CANNOT solve all the problems, they can only create more!!!!!!

I keep looking, but i can’t seem to find the “Right to Health Care” in the Constitution. Therefore, it seems this is not a Federal issue. I know that benefits are one of the things I consider when looking for a job. If your employer is not providing adequate benefits, maybe it is time to start looking for another job.

The problem we have is too much government interference in health care today, and not enough market forces to control costs. HillaryCare (or BushCare?) won’t fix that, they’ll just make it worse with massive new bureaucracy and single-payer schemes.

You have to get people paying for their own health care and insurance again to get costs down. The devil is in the details of making that transition after decades of government tinkering that have tied insurance to employment and blown costs through the roof.

  12. dcgirl on September 18th, 2007 at 3:59 pm

Shannon - My opinion is that there is no health care problem. If there was then why do people all over the world (including those that live in countries with universal health care) come here for treatment? Delivery is another matter. But, like Duhmoose says, there is not inherent right to health care given to us. There are many things in this world that are not fair. It would be great if everyone in the US and the world would have the best of everything. But that is a pipe dream that will never happen. People need to start being responsible for themselves. If they have a job that doesn’t offer benefits, either get another job, start finding ways to pay insurance coverage yourself, or find yourself using the government system. I realize that this may be difficult to do, but noone was promised easy street the day they came into the world.

Perhaps I am too close to the inside. After all, perspective is everything. It’s great that you are pleased with your health care. Enjoy it while you can.

If people would put their priorities in order and buy health insurance instead of paying a $900.00 car note or something stupid like that, they could have health care. We were broke (still are) and sacrificed entertainment and toys for important things like electricity, living indoors and food and health insurance. There are policies that are affordable. But something has to give like the cable tv, dinners out, vacations, nice cars, clothes…..

Hell of a legacy. I wonder if he’d take you out to dinner, walk the bill and make you pay for it?
And we thought the prescription drug thing was a boondoggle…. we ain’t seen nothing yet!

  16. Neocon on September 18th, 2007 at 5:51 pm

    dcgirl,

I find myself agreeing with you again. Most young people don’t want to spend the money for health care because they don’t feel they need it. What Hillary is offering is government health care. She even said that she could envision a future where jobs were tied to health insurance. In other words, you would have to prove you had health insurance in order to get a job! What, wouldn’t you get health insurance WHEN YOU GET A JOB? Not according to Hillary. She wants the government to handle it all. Just another socialist, communist program where the government takes care of you. What I am wondering is where is the money coming from once everyone is dependent on the government from the womb to the tomb? You can only tax the “rich” so much till the money runs out. Then what? Funny, socialists/communists like Hillary never look that far into the future.

  17. An Observer on September 18th, 2007 at 5:58 pm

Hillary claims that, in spite of our outstanding medical capabilities, Americans have the one of the lowest mortality rates (40th) in the world for adults and an infant mortality rate of 31st in the world. I find those numbers hard to believe. Can anyone shed any light on this apparent misleading comment.

  18. Neocon on September 18th, 2007 at 6:39 pm

    An Observer

Yes, it is a misleading comment because it is probably false.

  19. Neocon on September 18th, 2007 at 7:12 pm

One wonders where Hellery and the other elitists will go for health care once it is socialized in this Country? Canada and other countries come to the U.S. for top quality health care because their countries don’t offer it or they have to wait for years to get it. Where will Hellery go once the U.S. healthcare has been destroyed? Has she even thought that far into the future? Britain, France, Canada, Iran, Iraq, Brazil, Mexico, Cuba? Anyone who votes for this idiot gets what they deserve. Communism is alive and well in the dhimmocrat party today.

fraud in the medicare and soc sec system - naw naw we have no fraud in this - the only ones that do it are criminals and we let them out or off the hook!

  21. monkeyincognito on September 19th, 2007 at 11:09 am

Long time lurker, but I can shed some light on the mortality figures. Mrs. Slick is using UN mortality rates. Now, what they won’t tell you is that there is not a consistent standard. Some countries do not consider severely handicapped children as live births and kill the child. Others have forced abortions of high risk pregnancies or unborn with congenital disorders. Cuba, for example does not consider a child that dies within 72 hours of being born as a live birth. Garbage in garbage out. There is a great video you can watch concerning the uninsured. It is called “Uninsured in America.” It is a powerful statement. I believe you can see it on YouTube or the website. I am not sure of the wesite referral rules, but just google “free market cure.”
