Look, you can be realistic and teach contraception, I’ve got no problem with that and wish that parents would teach their children about it. But, I’m not living in a fantasy land and realize that a lot of parents don’t even bother to say hello to their kids each day.
I just have my doubts about Planned Parenthood being the group to teach it. Think about it this way. If your profits are dependent upon a certain procedure, is the information you are going to provide about alternate methods going to be unbiased? I don’t think so.

Speaking of PP, I came across this quote from a 1964 PP advertisement for birth control:
