This past Wednesday was Petrov Day. I’ll let you read the link to find out why we all should remember a Russian officer named Mr. Petrov.

On September 26th, 1983, Lieutenant Colonel Stanislav Yevgrafovich Petrov was the officer on duty when the warning system reported a US missile launch. Petrov kept calm, suspecting a computer error.

Then the system reported another US missile launch.

And another, and another, and another.

I’m glad everyone enjoyed it. I wish there were a fund to donate for Petrov. If we all sent 20-25 bucks, it would go a long way in Russia.

I’ve got many things to do this weekend so I’ll only be in and out occasionally. Carry on !

When Iran gets nukes, God forbid, I doubt there will be a Lieutenant Colonel Stanislav Yevgrafovich Petrov.

Same for Syria, N Korea, Venezuela……….
