A union man called in to Rush today to say, they took an early vote at his work. There were 320 people voting. Mrs.Bill Clinton didn’t get one vote, and Ron Paul won the Republican vote. This was an Iowa voter.

Well any guy who manages to get his own blimp SHOULD win something! I’m just not sure what yet…

My ex put on so much weight and made the mistake of asking me “How do I look in this?”

I thought she was gonna kill me. I’ll never use the blimp word again.

    Oh, the humanity!

  6. Dov on December 7th, 2007 at 4:17 pm

I am not believing what just happened. I just typed the blimp word and guess who calls me on the phone. The blimp, oops I mean the ex.

Speaking of getting his name out there - I used a $1 bill this morning at Whataburger that had a “RON PAUL ‘08″ red stamp over the face of George Washington.

I also saw a new, spray painted plywood sign that says “Ron Paul” hammered to a tree at the on-ramp to I-45S from downtown. Right next to the dumpster. Very classy. Lucky for me, my camera phone was ready.

    To quote the Tick:

    “Cool! They got a blimp!”

  9. american woman on December 7th, 2007 at 4:33 pm

Dov, it’s a miracle you are living today to tell this story!

  10. hamous on December 7th, 2007 at 4:38 pm

“RON PAUL ‘08″ stamped on fiat currency!?!?!? That has to break at least one commandment.

Minor correction, “Mother Ship 1″ (note the “1″) is scheduled for her inaugural launch on December 10. The pre-launch rally build up began today and will continue throughout the weekend.

One of the more interesting aspects of this promotion is that instead of forming some kind of soft money org or using real campaign funds, these folks started and advertising company. Which means there’s no government enforced limitation on dollars contributed to this effort.

But of course, I would expect folks round these parts to contribute to LST before they chip in for the blimp…

NOOOO! He’s got his own fookin’ Air Force….
    Oh the humanity……

Hey, wasn’t the Hindenberg named after a guy named Paul too???

Lord knows I have taken my shots at the paulinians, I gotta admit that if RP don’t get elected, it won’t be because the “faithful” did not give it their best shot. That is pretty smart about the ad agency btw.

Frankly, the “Republican” faithful could take a few lessons from the paulites.

I think the ad agency thing is brilliant! Good job there! Gotta admit they have been pretty creative.

  15. hamous on December 7th, 2007 at 5:20 pm

Mother Ship 1? I thought Mother Ship 1 was hiding behind the comet.

  16. bob42 on December 7th, 2007 at 5:29 pm

    16. Hamous, I think you might be confusing the Ron Paul Revolution with Dennis Kucinich supporters.

  17. DanielJames on December 7th, 2007 at 5:30 pm

    Thats cool.

    Go Ron Paul!

    hamous

They defaced the FRN cause it is fiat money and its a great way to advertise.

  18. Dov on December 7th, 2007 at 5:34 pm

    aw

We’re divorced and yep I was lucky. She threatened to shoot me so I gave her lots of room for a day or two.

    Dov

I bet it was all her fault too. ;)

For all you men, who haven’t realized this. The only way blimp should be used when speaking to a female is, ” would you like to pick something up to eat at blimpies.” As to the Ron Paul blimp……. I am speechless.

  21. bob42 on December 7th, 2007 at 6:30 pm

I’m grateful to Squawkbox for the hat tip. I have already voted for Big Jolly via my contribution of two Ron Paul bumper stickers, but hear that people may vote more than once. (What are you? Democrats!)

I would also like to cast a vote for Squawkbox, but being the anarchist free market libertarian that I am, I expect something in return. I’ve attempted to contribute to LST by purchasing blog ads for Ron Paul without (much) success.

If LST management is willing to run the ad I placed on this blog I would be happy to contribute something more than a bumper sticker to the begathon.

Think of it as $25 that won’t go to the blimp, or to a liberal/progressive blog…

A big gas bag. Both of them.

  23. NAT PIERCE on December 7th, 2007 at 8:01 pm

Is that your ad that looks like a suppos WWII bomb? Cool

  24. bob42 on December 7th, 2007 at 9:08 pm

    You found it Nat.

So I ask you, which is more offensive? My satire, or the serious ads you see here for Hillary?

  25. NAT PIERCE on December 7th, 2007 at 10:54 pm

Not sure if the ad placement would be more affective above or below the beast.
