The really ironic twist in this story is the AP reporter, Brian Skoloff, appears to be based in West Palm Beach or Palm Beach, Florida. Don Black lives right down the road from ole Brad. What a reporter. His number and address are apparently unlisted.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! Drudge broke the Monica Knee-Pad story before anyone; the DRIVE-BY Media blew it off until they couldn’t say it wasn’t so. They also Poo-Poo him as not being a journalist, (as if they were?). The Bog-O-Sphere compared a typewriter font to Micro-Soft Word and figured out that the letter that Dan Blather had was bogus! Now Benzene scoops the entire pseudo journalist crew with this by 55 DAYS!! What,…were they just running around smelling Hitlery’s Butt, (I Shudder to even think about that! (sorry for the mental picture) That said, I’ve told a lot people that I believe the internet, (Ooh thank you AL Bore), is the new printing press, Ole Ben would be smiling now, I say this because the First Amendment is very important but it comes with responsibility, something that has been sorely lacking in the last twenty years. Now anyone can put anything out there, some true, some false, some just B.S. But at least you can get the information and decide/figure it out for yourself.

Could it be that he has lost his mind? The MSM will love this! Of course he never had a chance so they may only give it a passing glance.

  18. wrestle24 on December 19th, 2007 at 6:54 pm

Well, what do you know. With regard to keeping Don Black’s blood money, Ron Paul’s justifies it, saying “I feel good about it.” He stated returning or divesting the money would be pandering to political correctness.

Hey Ron, I didn’t think you price was as low as $500. If Mr. Black were to donate $1,000,000, what sort of access does Stormfront receive when you enter the oval office. At what point am I going to be required to wear a yellow Star of David on my chest when I venture out in public? Inquiring minds want to know.

Thank Congressman for making it clear where you stand. Thank you Lone Star Times for a story which should have been nominated for a Pulitzer prize. Your suggestion to donate the blood money to one of three charities was a stroke of brilliance and needs to be put to Mr. Paul as soon as possible. I salute you on a job well done.

Paul spokesman Jesse Benton told the Post the Texas congressman’s camp does not monitor donors, nor does it return money to controversial characters.

“If someone of a small-minded ideology sends money, it’s his loss,” Benton said. “First, it’s $500 less for Black to use on whatever it is he does. Then, it’s $500 more for Dr. Paul to use to protect the individual rights of all Americans.”

Wow. Looks like the KKK likes Ron Paul for the same reasons I do. Does this make me a racist?

“We like his stand on tight borders and opposition to a police state,” Black told the Palm Beach Post.

Black also indicated he supports Paul’s opposition to amnesty for illegal aliens and his strong desire to end the U.S. war in Iraq.

“We know that he’s not a white nationalist. He says he isn’t and we believe him, but on the issues, there’s only one choice,” Black told the Associated Press today.

#28 - Daniel, what if the claims about regular meetings with the Council of Conservative Citizens/Stormfronters turn out to be credible?

  30. DanielJames on December 19th, 2007 at 8:00 pm

    hamous

I will need more proof than some goons word. At that time I will have to make some decisions.

I am more concerned with the one party system taking down this country at the moment.

I find the timing of this suspect.

  31. hamous on December 19th, 2007 at 8:09 pm

    Daniel

I’ve been wading through the internet swamp again and Bill White is indeed the “commander” of ANSWP. That doesn’t prove he is the one posting on Stormfront but if it isn’t him I can’t imagine he would let a sockpuppet do that without saying something. I sincerely hope this turns out to be false. I’ve said all along I didn’t think RP was a racist. I don’t like to be wrong.

  32. DanielJames on December 19th, 2007 at 8:11 pm

    Who said this?

“I am for preserving to the states the powers not yielded by them to the union; and for preventing the further encroachment of the executive branch on the rightful powers of congress. I am for a government rigorously frugal and simple, and for retiring the national debt, eliminating the standing army, and relying on the militia to safeguard internal security, and keeping the navy small, lest it drag the nation into eternal wars. I am for free commerce with all nations, political connections with none…. I am for freedom of religion, and for freedom of the press. And against all violations to the Constitution to silence our citizens”

  33. DanielJames on December 19th, 2007 at 8:14 pm

    hamous

    The timing stinks.

I cant remember which org it was now but the Minutemen had something very similar happen. I think it was stormfront. They donated money and went to rallies. The media had pictures etc.

It was proven to be a set up. The story died.

  34. hamous on December 19th, 2007 at 8:25 pm

What’s scary is if you look at the rest of the comments on that thread you see this:

Some one ban this piece of s**t for the no outing rule.

That tells me they have an internally well-known policy of deliberate covert knowledge on information that will damage their cause. And RP is their man of choice! I’m still shaking my head as to why this doesn’t bother you guys. Troubling.

  35. BigJolly on December 19th, 2007 at 8:25 pm

    Daniel,

I don’t know much about timing, etc. But you have to admit, I think, that a racist leader having lunch with the Paul campaign is a bit over the top.

    Don’t you?

  36. DanielJames on December 19th, 2007 at 8:27 pm

    bigjolly

Who said he has lunch on a regular basis with stormfront?

I am gonna need pics, interviews with the cafe owners, etc.

  37. RickG on December 19th, 2007 at 8:27 pm

    28. DJ

Do you meet with KKKers and Nazis? If so, then, yes, that makes you a racist.

I know, it’s a set up. We will see. But will the Paulbots be around if this is proven true?

Those photos snapped by attendees can be awfully pesky things, DJ.

What would you wager there are a few of them out there? Hmmmm?

  38. RickG on December 19th, 2007 at 8:33 pm

    35. Bigjolly

Of course note. Haven’t you learned from the “ghost writer” defense with respect to Paul’s racist writings? Just because his top aids cavorted with Nazis has nothing to do with Ron Paul. Don’t you get it?

If Ron Paul were in photos licking the boots of George Lincoln Rockwell, and was found to have financed Josef Mengele’s South American lifestyle, and wrote to a friend that “The Boys from Brazil” is his wet dream, the Ron Paul cultists - who have no problems at all suspending their disbelief - would find myriad excuses why you can’t believe your lying eyes. And they will be as sincere as Neville Chamberlain all the while.

  39. BigJolly on December 19th, 2007 at 8:37 pm

    Daniel,

This doesn’t mean anything to you?

I have attended these dinners, seen Paul and his aides there, and been invited to his offices in Washington to discuss policy.

Oops. You are correct, I said lunch, in point of fact, it was dinners. Sorry for the error. Does that negate the question?

  40. DanielJames on December 19th, 2007 at 8:38 pm

    Rickg

All your yap with nothing more than the word of a goon or two?

I heard you are an attorney. You need more than this to convict anybody.

If it is found that Ron Paul is intimate with stormfront I am out.

  41. RickG on December 19th, 2007 at 8:39 pm

Paul comes across as a blathering idiot/paranoid/lunatic in the Cavuto video. A few more interviews where Paul is actually asked tough questions (and now about his meeting with Nazis) and he will be toast.

Paul’s sophomoric “see no evil, hear no evil” approach will soon return him to the bizarro novelty department.

  42. DanielJames on December 19th, 2007 at 8:39 pm

Okay, Daniel, I understand. It just seems odd to me but heck, there’s lots of crazy stuff going on in this election. Stuff I wouldn’t have believed was being said, so I guess I understand your skepticism.

  45. RickG on December 19th, 2007 at 8:43 pm

    40. DJ

If it is found that Ron Paul is intimate with stormfront I am out.

That’s all I needed to hear. I expected to hear it, and I believe you 100%. We have nothing in common when it comes to Ron Paul, but I did not perceive you to be a Nazi.

(No, I wouldn’t convict anybody solely on the word of a dirtbag. However, that’s not all we have. An accumulation of circumstantial evidence ultimately leads to a conclusion. And if we get pictures, well, no more circumstantial evidence!)

  46. DanielJames on December 19th, 2007 at 8:53 pm

I need a smoking gun.. Several pics at different times, dates. I refuse to believe Ron Paul is a nazi. Nothing he does indicates that to me.

Yall dont like him from the start so its easy to go from A to B.

  47. Golden Adam on December 19th, 2007 at 9:10 pm

  48. texpat on December 19th, 2007 at 9:13 pm

#46 DJ RE: Liking A Candidate

I don’t involve my personal feelings in choosing a political candidate. The extent to which I judge their public persona, charisma and likeability are the only time I engage my personal, subjective reactions. The candidate’s ability to lead his constituents, staff and to influence his colleagues is affected by his personality traits.

I may even not particularly like the candidate I ultimately decide to be the best for the job. In other words, whether I “like” a politician is not near as important as their core philosophy, their character, their judgement and stated policy positions.

  49. David Benzion on December 19th, 2007 at 9:19 pm

Ron Paul is not a Nazi.

    But he is a crank.

(And, btw, a real disservice to the cause of limited government. Can anyone argue that libertarianism wouldn’t be better off if Walter Williams or Drew Carey were its best-known proponent at the moment?)

Anyway, it’s looking increasingly like over the years Ron Paul has made a habit of flirting (politically) with people even more cranky than himself (white supremacists, 9/11 Troofers).

They (may) know he doesn’t share their entire agenda, but he teases them into thinking they might have a shot at persuading him, someday.

And besides, he takes them seriously. He listens. They feel affirmed. Suddenly, they aren’t quite so marginal. After all, Congressman Ron Paul (now Presidential candidate Ron Paul!) is willing to listen to what they have to say, even agree here and there. They can do everything in their power online to back his campaign, even send him money, and he won’t rebuke them.

Now it’s all coming back to bite him in the ass.

And it certainly puts the earlier refusal to reject the Nazi’s contribution and emphatically rebuke white supremacism in a much more illuminating context. (And don’t even bother trying to argue that he DID rebuke the racists; his campaign’s comments and actions were LAAAMMMMMEEE.)

Ron Paul and staffers around him knew they couldn’t push the rebuke thing too far, or be too harsh… they knew the racist supporters they had flirted with for years could tolerate a fair amount of pushing away (they’re used to others needing to maintain a “respectful” distance), but were worried about crossing a “breaking point” beyond which the bigots would rebel.

    One finally did.

  59. ecow on December 19th, 2007 at 10:18 pm

Why would I renounce Ron Paul when that is not who I am planning to vote for? What has me enraged is the bias this site and KSEV in the morning has when talking about several different candidates. There is never any legitimate debate, just hack-jobs like this. A real news source would vet the source. Members of the same organization are calling him a liar, so who do you trust?

I take that back, I know who YOU would trust. Who would the normal unbiased thinking conservative trust?

Contrary to what you guys might believe, I am commonly accused of being a fringe conservative by telling people about what I have read here since the site’s inception, and also about topics I mention from radio shows. I have always stood up for what is said here, but now I am gaining a new perspective.

  60. ecow on December 19th, 2007 at 10:20 pm

  61. little mike on December 19th, 2007 at 10:23 pm

Ron Paul has regular meetings with small greys, advising them on how best to take over the planet.

I challenge Ron Paul to prove otherwise.

  62. BarryM on December 19th, 2007 at 10:25 pm

I agree with Ron Paul that he should not return the donor money to the nazis. He makes a good point that his donors are contributing to his cause but he is not necessarily representing theirs. I also believe that people should have the right to contribute to candidates they choose to but people should not expect a canidate to cater to their views or issues just because money is given.

In fact, I consider it a more principaled stance to accept legal contributions from any donor no matter who they are. A canidate who is clear on his or her positions and who is not willing to waver on them should not be criticized for accepting donations from “undesireable” or “controversial” individuals.

If Ron Paul or his staff knowingly met privately with nazi leaders then that is another issue. I certainly think Ron Paul should be hammered for that.

I do not support Ron Paul. I like his position on a lot of issues but I think he is way off on a lot of important ones… and he’s a kook but he does make sense sometimes.

Both Congressman Paul and his aides regularly meet with members of the Stormfront set, American Renaissance, the Institute for Historic Review, and others at the Tara Thai restaurant in Arlington, Virginia, usually on Wednesdays. This is part of a dinner that was originally organized by Pat Buchanan, Sam Francis and Joe Sobran, and has since been mostly taken over by the Council of Conservative Citizens.

Utterly ridiculous. Buchanan, Paul, the CCC, and Don Black don’t go to any thai restaraunt in Arlington on wednesday nights. Black doesn’t even live anywhere near DC.

Also keep in mind that the same Don Black claimed in late 2000 that he personally organized the George W. Bush side of the protesters in Palm Beach County during the recount dispute. I never heard Bush disavow that one, and unlike this supposed thai place the cameras actually did catch Black out on the streets carrying Bush signs in 2000.

Black, the founder of the Internet’s first “hate” site is claiming he’ll help lead the [Pro Bush] rally. Black has been using his site to promote the event to the world from his home in downtown West Palm Beach, two miles from the voting action this week at the Emergency Operations Center. Black, a former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, will be there with his 11-year-old son, Derek (the webmaster of Stormfront for Kids.) Oh, you know Black personally, do you?

No, Rick. Can’t say that I do. Nonetheless, I see you haven’t learned anything about honest civil discussion since the last time this story came up and you falsely and maliciously accused me of sympathizing with Hitler.

Ad hitlerum, ad nauseum. Whenever I encounter that tactic from people like you, Buckley’s immortal message to Gore Vidal somehow comes to mind…

Talk about a smear campaign. Nothing Ron Paul has ever done or said leads me to believe he is aligned with racists. Funny, how you LSTimers rail about the MSM and yet you are quick to swallow the innuendoes and unsubstantiated rumors they post about Ron Paul. I say “So what if he accepted a $500 donation from a White Supremist?” I bet if you dug into the list of campaign contributors to ANY presidential candidate you would find they all have accepted money from some questionable characters. It is inevitable that a long-shot candidate, especially one as outspoken as Paul, will attract a lot of fringe nutjobs. Not because he believes as they do, but because he’s bucking the status quo in Washington and the loonies love that kind of shake-up. The fact is, Paul has an impeccable record for honesty and personal integrity and his success at raising money is making the other Republicans nervous. I’m sure we’ll be reading a lot more half-backed accusations and sensationalized headlines about him the more successful he becomes in his bid for the presidency. It’s called dirty politics, folks…

  81. Phil_M on December 19th, 2007 at 11:19 pm

And don’t even bother trying to argue that he DID rebuke the racists; his campaign’s comments and actions were LAAAMMMMMEEE

Well David, you know what they say. Ask a stupid question…

We don’t have to depend on the mainstream press for anything concerning Ron Paul. His own speeches and writings are more than adequate evidence for criticism. The donation from Don Black was public information retrieved from government records by LST. No member of the MSM was involved. LST does appreciate the fact Associated Press finally published the story, and credited LST, 55 days after LST first reported it.

  83. Phil_M on December 19th, 2007 at 11:27 pm

A message has already been left on his office phone; we await official comment.

All I can say is don’t hold your breath. Had he been treated with at least a modicum of respect the last time LST delved into this story, chances are his staff would be inclined to respond to any followups. And if they didn’t, there’s also a good chance that persons who are sympathetic to getting an honest and fairly portrayed answer from the Paul camp would urge him to respond. Instead, Paul’s camp gave an honest response and got hosed, while those who defended him got likened to Hitler.

I suspect that Paul knows better now when LST calls, and despite my respect for what LST does on other matters I can’t say that I blame him on this one.

  84. Phil_M on December 19th, 2007 at 11:32 pm

#72 - It’s highly doubtful that Paul or Buchanan or anyone else named there “met” with Don Black in a policy session at an Arlington thai place.

Black’s a delusional kook and he has a long history of claiming influence with politicians that he does not actually have.

In 2000 the vocally and publicly claimed credit for stopping Jesse Jackson during the Palm Beach County recount fiasco. Using the same irresponsible logic of some of the commentators here, George W. Bush accordingly owes it to the country to disavow the support he recieved from Black for that very reason.

  85. ixeos on December 19th, 2007 at 11:40 pm

A posting on a web forum isn’t exactly the same as having “proof” of his ties to Stormfront, Nazis, etc etc. I’m in the boat of “gimme the pics, interviews, whatnot” … if it’s there then I will rethink Paul as an individual.

All I know is what I’ve heard him say, is that people shouldn’t be judged on the color of their skin and the individual liberty granted to each person entitles everyone equal rights.

  86. Phil_M on December 19th, 2007 at 11:42 pm

Funny, how you LSTimers rail about the MSM and yet you are quick to swallow the innuendoes and unsubstantiated rumors they post about Ron Paul.

Bingo. The only difference between this story and your typical innuendo-laden smear job disguised as “journalism” from the MSM is the source. When I see it from the MSM though it doesn’t suprise me any because it’s par for the course with what they do on any given day of the week. I had expected the standards to be a little higher around here though…

This just in!!! 9/11 Truther’s declare their unsupport for Ron Paul!!!! Since it is now important to scrutinize every single American who endorses a candidate (especially if it’s posted on some random internet forum), we’ve got a lot of work to do!!!!

I will add that, to LST’s credit, at least y’all aren’t completely over the edge…yet. I have feared for a while now that LST is slowly becoming a smaller scale regional version of Little Green Footballs. And that is not a good thing either. Whereas LST’s take on the Don Black story is merely a run-of-the-mill blog hitpiece, LGF’s coverage of the same story is outright rabid…

    http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=28341_Neo-Nazis_Say-_Ron_Paul_is_One_of_Us

As of this moment they are literally linking to a report by the Southern Poverty Law Center to smear Paul for speaking to the Robert Taft Club on account of its president being friends with the “racist” editor of the “racist” Washington Times.

  89. squawkbox on December 20th, 2007 at 12:02 am

Oh wow ecow seems you missed the point of their comments on that forum or you are trying to make some bogus claim. So that everything is clear and transparent lets make sure we reveal why they are rebuking Ron Paul (R)nee(L). Their comments are centered on what BahBah Ron Paul(R)nee(L) said in his Glenn Beck interview. It seems they are not pleased with his stance on 911 troofer movement. Here let me quote on e for ya.

This is about the third or fourth commenter down

i agree with everything you said, but there is something fundamentally wrong when paul continues to spread the lie of islamic fascism and the 911 cover up story without leaving the possibility open for a new investigation. i am not saying he should come right out and chant 911 was inside job, but he doesn’t have to side with the official story either. at the very least, it makes me look a little harder at what exactly his motivations are.

Now that is a smart troofer there. Check motivations. Real smart.

  90. squawkbox on December 20th, 2007 at 12:21 am

    In fact ecow
The troofers are bashing your boy for what he said to Beck. Wanna see some more.

Here are two real good ones

Wow… screw Ron Paul. I was totally wrong about him. I like his foreign policy ideas, but screw that crap. Where’s the independent 3rd party that will represent 9/11 Truth and expose TV Fakery?! Who wants that job? I’ll help, but I’m not very charismatic in a political sense.

    and this one

the more i think about this, the angrier i get. angry because i feel duped and let down. if the establishment thinks they can prop up a candidate that appeals to the patriot movement to get us to stop asking questions about 911, they are sadly mistaken.

And since I, yes I listened to Ron Paul being interviewed by Glenn Beck and 4 hours of Ron Paul and Alex Jones It is my not so humble opinion that our accusation of Paul and the White Supremicists is quite plausible. So tell me who is duping who?

That is precisely what these guys are pissed about. Ron Paul(R)nee(L) said one thing to Alex Jones and then another to Glenn Beck. You think ‘ol Ron boy ain’t capable of making velied promises or statements to other whack groups to gain support all veilrd in his freedom message? Give me a break.

    So who’s lyin now huh?

  91. Cybrludite on December 20th, 2007 at 12:43 am

Well, one bit of the story checks out. If you check the campaign disbursements, Paul’s bought a lot of Pad Thai from the resturant named in the story.

  92. ecow on December 20th, 2007 at 12:56 am

    Lost in Translation, Part II

    quackbox,

I’m guessing you missed “un” in the word “unsupport” in my post. It’s an unconventional word, so I’ll overlook it, this time.

  93. Phil_M on December 20th, 2007 at 12:58 am

#91 - There are several Tara Thai restaraunts in the Washington DC metro region. It’s a common place to get thai food in the DC area, and a frequent stop for dozens of politicians.

If memory serves me correctly one of them has photos all over the wall of the famous people who have eaten there. It’s everything from McCain to Colin Powell to John Kerry.

Also some of the details of the alleged meetings simply don’t withstand scrutiny. Sam Francis, the columnist who supposedly attends these things, has been dead for over 2 years.

  94. Phil_M on December 20th, 2007 at 1:11 am

It’s also worth noting that it is not at all unusual for Tara Thai to show up on Paul’s campaign reports simply because there’s one located a couple blocks from his national campaign office in Arlington. IOW, it’s one of the many places the staff goes for lunch. How do I know this? Because there are several other restaraunts a few blocks away from his campaign HQ that he also lists on the expense report:

Liberty Tavern, Cheesecake Factory, Ted’s Montana Grill, Rock Bottom Brewery, Rio Grande Cafe, Meis Asian Bistro, El Pollo Rico, and Tara Thai are all within a couple blocks of Paul HQ and each other.

Come to think of it, I’ve also eaten at all of those places at one time or another.

  95. squawkbox on December 20th, 2007 at 1:15 am

    Nope ecow
Didn’t miss a thing at all. Especially your attempt at hysterics insinuating that because we wrote this story we need to check out every person that endorses a candidate.

Seems to me that it is you that resembles the National Enquirer and has begun engaging in, hmmm what was it you said, oh yeah constant, ignorant bashing.

I have yet to see one post from you stating why you support Ron Paul(R)nee(L). How can you and I rise above this pettiness if I do not know your reasons for supporting Ron Paul(R)nee(L)? I truly would like to engage you in meaningful debate. Heck you, yes you just might be the person that convinces me to return to the fold. Hope springs eternal ya’ know. Did I tell you that there was a time that I too succumbed to wiles of Dr. Paul(R)nee(L)? But alas 9/11 changed all that. Ya see RP(R)nee(L) scares the crap out of me with his “foreign policy” which really is a “foreign” policy.

Oh btw did I forget to tell you that I appreciated you reminding me that the comment Ron Paul(R)nee(L) made about Huck’s Christmas commercial was really obnoxious? If not, thanks

  96. ecow on December 20th, 2007 at 1:43 am

    quackbox,

You didn’t miss anything, but yet you misunderstood my post completely. I stated, in much fewer words, the exact same thing that you stated in your reply. Many truthers on that forum decided they could no longer support Ron Paul due to what he said on Beck’s show.

We could pretend to have a legit debate, but I have already seen where that de-evolves to on this site. I will not waste anymore effort trying to convert you back to a Ron Paul supporter, as I would find it more enjoyable and productive to bang my head into a brick wall.

I may appear to be Ron Paul supporter, but that is not a completely accurate statement. The reason I started posting on this site after reading for some time is because I finally got disgusted enough to say something before one my old favorite sites began shed itself of all useful information.

Currently, I do not believe there is a single candidate for President that holds a position on almost any major issue that is worth defending.

Ron Paul’s foreign policy would be a gamble. Everyone else appears to be a continuation or escalation of Bush’s foreign policy which is fiscally unsustainable, and it’s still a gamble. Anyone who spends any time near the border is fully aware that any intelligent terrorist could have easily crossed it under Bush’s watch in order to do harm in the homeland.

I believe people are just fooling themselves if they believe the Iraq war has made us any more safe or any less safe by any significant margin. The same can be said for Ron Paul’s solution.

I actually would prefer for other candidates, besides Paul, to move into more fiscally conservative positions. What I am not willing to do is elect a Democrat, or another George W Bush to terms 3 and 4.

We aren’t talking about a small donation from a man who has ties to a hate organization. We are talking about constant courting and affiliation with known haters. The outcasts of society, the misfits of America, choose to hate rather than improve. White power. Cleanse the country of those who don’t fit their template. Dr.Paul, made a choice to tie himself to this thinking.

It’s a known fact he has accomplished nothing as a Senator. Do you think that’s by accident? 20 years of nothing, is just a well meaning intent, and that qualifies?

It’s hard to let go of a dream. Let it go.

  101. hamous on December 20th, 2007 at 7:03 am

If RP fails it will primarily be because of the crazy people he has welcomed into the fold. But we all know you guys will blame LST, the media, neocons (code word for Jooz), NWO, etc., anyone but the cancer you’ve allowed to metastasize.

Is it so bad to be different?

To have a rational opinion, even if it is not just what you want him to say?

LST seems to be slipping right into the abyss of “we know what’s best because we say so”, or ” you can not be right because its different than what we believe”.

Is this site kooky because Gagboy and Pill stink it up with lefty propaganda?
    The answer is NO!

Was it hard to believe that A Federal prosecutor would be going after our American Border Patrol Agents when no one said it in the open before?
So why the constant “Let’s stick it to Ron Paulers” on this site?

His support is FROM the Donater’s and he has constantly said he does not support them, THEY GIVE TO HIM? Are you now the thought police because you don’t like or agree with his donation policies and somehow you know his REAL intentions???

    Give it a break!

    P.S. Encow #59 I concur completely!

  105. hamous on December 20th, 2007 at 9:09 am

Rational opinions??? There are lots of adjectives I can think of to describe a lot of these Rombies but rational ain’t one of ‘em. Even those of you I do consider rational refuse to level ANY criticism of the PROVEN associations with nazis and white nationalists. Instead you attack the messengers. Where do you draw the line? For Phil_M it is apparently between the support of pedophile priests and support of Nazis. Me, I set the bar a little higher. Rational? There is nothing rational about the RP campaign.

LST hasn’t endorsed any candidate. There have been positive and negative stories about all candidates. Funny thing is, the only supporters we can count on to become irrationally unglued are the Rombies. LST is not telling you who to vote for. That seems to be what you guys are doing. “VOTE FOR RON PAUL! DON’T QUESTION HIS MOTIVES! YOU ARE NOT WORTHY TO REMOVE THE SANDALS FROM HIS FEET!” Rational. That’s a good one.

  106. Jaime on December 20th, 2007 at 9:15 am

LST = Lowering Standards in Texas

“This is part of a dinner that was originally organized by Pat Buchanan, Sam Francis and Joe Sobran, and has since been mostly taken over by the Council of Conservative Citizens.”

Is there someone that can be contacted about these dinners? I am somewhat familiar with the purges at National Review and I am surprised that Charlie Reese, Mel Bradford, etc are not thrown in for good measure.

Of course if a neo-nazi says so it must be true.

I am one not given to throw around the “I am not going to listen/read you anymore” but I must say that I am seriously considering it.

I have been appalled at the direction of LST and KSEV for a while.

    With sadness I may add.

In case you did not know, I have been listening to KSEV since March/April 1989. My first call to a radio talk show was to Ed Brandon.

  109. hamous on December 20th, 2007 at 9:31 am

Jaime - You are the first person who challenged me to look at Ron Paul. I honored your request. As I’ve said many times since then, many of his policy positions align with mine. But there are other things, many intangible, that I think you must consider when choosing a president. Virtually all of RP’s supporters, including you, seem incapable of taking a critical look at their candidate. That is sad…and dangerous, in my opinion. All you see is that mythical shining city on the hill where Paul is going to return the country to his vision of what the founding fathers intended. His vision is flawed. The Constitution itself (via its amendments) would get in the way.

I personally would hate to see you go, but if you truly believe that we should not question all of the candidates’ positions and policies perhaps it would be for the best.
