A Jewish guy from Egypt who lives in Beverly Hills is teaming up with Texans to buy an American-based, Spanish-language TV network? Sure, why not?
Univision Communications Inc. said on Tuesday it accepted a $12.3 billion cash buyout by an investor group including media mogul Haim Saban, edging out Mexico’s Televisa in a tense cross-border auction for the No. 1 U.S. Hispanic broadcaster.
Shares in Univision rose more than 6 percent on news an agreement had been signed, though the deal raised new questions about already frayed ties between the company and the suitor investors had expected to win Univision’s hand, Televisa.
The $12.3 billion will reportedly be paid via Western Union.
Let’s just hope the new owners don’t get rid of the greatest show on television.

Uno! Nothing beats that guy dressed in a bee suit riding around on a unicycle.
Why do the girls on his program always appear half naked? I guess they look good? Not. The only program I see where the nurses are dressed in micro minis and short sleeves.
Well it will either be a great investment with the Hispanic population growing, or it will go to dust if can kick the illegals out.
Majority of legal hispanics seem to know a lot of english.
