    Oops, wonder how fast that flag came down after fox aired the video?

  4. eddhendee on February 11th, 2008 at 3:24 pm

    You know - I’m looking at this - looks like a new office - all the “woo hoo” excitment - new beginnings - change and all.
    So I’m wondering how much of a Marxist revolutionary communist loving bitxx do you have to be to unpack your “Che/Cuba” flag first and put it up behind your desk?

  5. trl3 on February 11th, 2008 at 3:34 pm

    And some, standing on their principles, would allow a democrat with this Marxist attitude to become President rather than vote for the Republican alternative. (And I fully agree the Republican is a pitiful alternative)

    This picture needs one of my “Top Ten” lists of captions:

    1) We have been telling the people that OBUMer was for “change”!!

    2) Now, when OBUMer is president, we will take out the Florida Cubans, first.

    3) Where do you want to start the indoctrination process first??

    4) Yes, we will change all the history textbooks and correct anything bad about Che.

    5) Che will be OBUMer’s ceremonial running mate.

    6) Fidel is on hold for that conference call with OBUMer.

    7) When will those “VIVA LA REVOLUTION” banners get here??

    8) I wonder if OBUMer can mix socialism with Islam.

    9) With this type of economy, socialism will work well.

    10) Have they installed those flagpoles for this flag I have hanging behind me?

    I hope everyone likes these.

    The communist fifth column is alive and well and fully supporting the illegal alien invasion of Texas and the United States.
    The demoncrats have fallen to the communist cause. They are evil. They will destroy America.
    Even the Communist Party USA says there’s really no need for them to field candidates in elections anymore because they’re all members of the demoncrat party now. The Communist Party USA now sells T-shirts, books, and gift items.

    Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are both communists.

    Edd, you should be more open with how you really feel. Somehow Edd I’ve detected slightly less patience with liberals since your first trip to Iraq. I’m embarking on a project to research the Americans who have been arrested for treason over the last 10 years to see which party primaries they’ve voted in. Should be interesting.

    1 - Obama keeps yelling about change - now we know just what kind of *change* he has in mind.

    2 - We knew Hil was an out and out Communist - now we know about O. It was bad enough when we though he was just a Muslim - but a Muslim Communist???? God help us!

    3 - If we conservatives either DON’T vote (out of pique) or worse yet - vote Dimmie - then we *deserve* what we get!

    The current GOP front runner may not be exactly what we want - I wanted Fred, or if not him, Mitt - but he’s GOT to be better than the Dimmie alternative!!!!!

  15. One Voice on February 11th, 2008 at 4:52 pm

    FYI: I recieved this yesterday from a cousin who lives in Plano….

    With friends, we once visited a Richardson , TX , mosque for an open house. Clerics offered difference classrooms to discuss subjects of interest. Our moderator ended his discussion to say that the Muslim are here to change the Constitution “because we just don’t know.” As example of their mixing religious beliefs with government–theocracy, they immediately want adultery and promiscuity prosecuted here in the US . It was pointed out that they are here because of religious freedom…the cleric said he didn’t care; they are here to change things. The mosques around here, we have heard, have been funded by Saudi Arabia to promote their fundamentalist ideas within their walls. There were such ill feelings, we left and vowed never to visit a mosque again. Our Sunday school tried to let them speak to our class on two occasions, but were told by both visitors that “theirs is the BEST religion.” The third time we just didn’t go. It is my choice never to listen to their rhetoric again. Our friends got invited back for a dinner at the mosque…we didn’t. They felt so uncomfortable at the dinner, they too refuse to have anything to do with that religion again.

    I saw this the other night and pointed it out to my wife. She couldn’t believe it.

    If you’re think sitting this vote out because you don’t like McCain, this ought to show what they are made of. Show your disdain for McCain, but don’t let these guys get the keys to the White House.

    Go to Obama’s website if you want to see some scary crap… I don’t like McCain, but he’s better than the alternative.

    The same Obama that won’t wear an American Flag on his lapel…..

    “I decided I won’t wear that pin on my chest,” he said in the interview. “Instead, I’m going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testament to my patriotism.”

    On Thursday, his campaign issued a statement: “We all revere the flag, but Senator Obama believes that being a patriot is about more than a symbol.”

    Can we question their patriotism NOW?

    Ladies and Gentlemen, you are looking at the new Tejas flag. Too bad we aren’t gonna get to vote on it. Oh, and by then the OFFICIAL language of the State of Tejas will be Spanish, so if you plan to stay, you’d better cough up that $300 for the Rosetta Stone Spanish course, and watch SiTV for practice. If you don’t have the cash, you can always get a second job and learn by immersion. May I suggest Home Depot . . .

    This is pretty silly. The office won’t be set up for Obama until the end of the week. Why trump up more nonsense stories that will just be shot down. It’s lame.

    Will any of you truly choose your president based on whether or not s/he wears a lapel pin? Puts his hand on his heart during the national anthemn? (For the last one — ever been to a baseball game — any sports — it’s optional people.)

    Why not stick with the issues?

    This is embarrassing.

    So you’re saying that people who show respect are fools? Another question, where exactly do the ‘average Americans’ sit. How will I recognize them?
    Of course I used to think it was uncool to place my hand over my heart. But now that I have done my part and served my country, not to mention grown up and don’t worry about what others think of me, that changed and now I feel honored to stand and place my hand over my heart.

I can’t liesten to the NA any longer without getting misted up. Fool? Okay, and damn proud to be so.
    You bet I would consider wether the candidate holds his hand to his heart during the anthem or if he allows hanging a Che flag in one of his offices. Luckily, I ‘m not voting for BO, although I may vote HRC in the primary to help stop such a nobody, that speaks in words that mean nothing, that has no experience–all teh man has going for him is his charisma and eloquence of speech. Neither are(should be) qualifications for President.

    It’s going to get worse, you’re right about that.

    That’s because ventually Obama is going to have to tell people what it is he wants to do with this country in SPECIFIC terms.

    His entire political carreer has been spent building an empty vessle. From his “Present” vtes in the Illinois Legislature tio the votes he’s taken in his less than one term in the Senate, he has demonstatred that he stands for wahtever it is you want to beleive he stands for.

    Well, when you build an empty vessle for people to fill, but you are non-specific about what and who you actually are, folsk are going to fill it—ALL kinds of folk.

    It’s time for Obama to come out and say some things. Not high falutin rhetoric about “Hope” and “Change”—as if anybody who won’t vote for him is against “Hope” and “Change”.

    Time for him to come clean—

    And it’s also time for those who support him to come out of the shadows and be honest about it as well. Time for them to stop misrepresenting his position on the war, and to tell us why we should vote for him, not call us names for not falling deeply in loooooove with the man without asking some critical questions and getting some straight answers.

    The last time we had a candidate like this, we got Jimmy Carter.

    I don’t want a repeat of THAT kind of President in my country—EVER.

    Obama and Hillary are both poison for our great Country.

    I continually ask the question, How did we ever get to the point that we are on the brink of loosing our culture, heritage and freedom?
    I truly believe we all know the answer, but are afraid to accept it’s implications.

    IMHO mainstream Americans have forever lost the steely nerve to standup and fight for our beliefs.
    Instead we have relegated ourselves to a show of bravado at from the keyboard. Giving each other a high five or another attaboy in bold type.

    Even murphy is so bravely pumped up with the anti-American sentiment that he/she can shamelessly make such ridiculous statements from a camouflaged identity .

  47. Fasternu 426 on February 12th, 2008 at 9:24 am

    At least she’s honest… the prole volunteer that is.

    Can we question their patriotism now?

    Che was a communist murdering thug. I once swore an oath to this country, it didn’t have an expiration date. I meant it. Obama is a dangerous socialist. One of his operatives in the Houston office (the 4th largest city in the US) has a flag on the wall of a murdering Communist. The man she supports refuses to wear an American flag and is defiantly proud of it. He doesn’t deserve to be in the same office held by Washington, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, or Reagan.

    What does he stand for? Change? Is that just a code word for SOCIALIST REVOLUTION? Read Osama’s website, he’s an empty suit, a false icon with ZERO answers. His qualifications to lead the United States in wartime? He wants to run from victory. Obama’s black and speaks well, so is Wayne Brady. I’d vote for Wayne Brady, I don’t think he’s a communist (and he’s not a lawyer either).

    It’s easy to be a communist when you have money and a law degree.

  48. timmg on February 12th, 2008 at 10:11 am

    I guarantee that this person will be out of a job the moment Obama’s national office finds out. To think that this single person stands for Obama’s platform is crazy. Just a local nutjob is all.

  49. slash on February 12th, 2008 at 10:49 am

    Maybe just a local nutjob. Or maybe it’s one of those hints ya get every once in a while. Maybe that’s the kind of people that are attracted to BMO, the kind of people that will be “filling that empty vessel”, as sargevining so eloquently put it.

    Wake up, and be afraid.

    I don’t think brave, loyal Americans are so lazy they don’t want to speak out. We’ve been muzzled by a controlling media, blustered into caution by minorities screaming about “political correctness” and “racial bias”, when we should be complaining about tribal warfare.
    Our government has been hijacked by the howling left, and it’s time to start getting it back. Even if there ARE hard things that have to be said.

    Sure, it’s easy to orate on “change” without outlining how, when, or what you are going to change. Everyone wants change, but they want THEIR change. Throwing out neutral references lets everyone overlay their own ideas onto that blank frame, and it becomes an emotional attachment.

    When someone carefully avoids describing what kind of “change” is in the works, you can bet almost NO ONE will like what’s coming.

    1) With OBUMer, that “change” he is offering will be a “surprise” of epic proportions.

    2) Gosh, watching OBUMer lead the sheep to slaughter is a thing of beauty.

    3) The people don’t even know that OBUMer’s speeches contain a socialist theme to them.

    4) Yeah, we all know OBUMer has the charm and slickness of a “cult” leader.

    5) OBUMer’s first order of business as president will be to annex Cuba.

    6) With all those “present” votes, it makes OBUMer a bigger flip/flopper than Kerry.

    7) Find out if you have to be a US citizen to be appointed to a cabinent post??

    8) Does Michelle know we are maintaining a “Bimbo” list?

    9) Yeah, we need to find a plastic surgeon who can fix OBUMer’s ears.

    10) OBUMer doesn’t wear USA flag pins, get him one of Che or Cuba to wear.

    Here try these!!

  63. davidh on February 13th, 2008 at 11:25 am

    As an Obama supporter, I find this pretty shameful. Let’s face it, this is America and here you will find many people who don’t know better but should.

    It’s not that hard for me to forgive a young person for not knowing any better than putting up that image of Che Guevara. It’s on t-shirts and posters and Starbucks cups and on many other things, coexisting peacefully with capitalism. This young, idealistic volunteer probably thinks that Che was some sort of a civil rights activists for Latinos, sometime long before she was born.

    Of course that’s a terrible mistake. But it’s an understandable mistake. The Che image has become an advertising brand and in the minds of most young people, lost its connection to the nasty man in the picture. That’s a bad thing and maybe this stupid incident will raise awareness that Che is definitely no hero for anyone, be they on the left or the right. I wish this young volunteer had learned this lesson before she decorated her office. She certainly learned it now.

    Our job is to make sure we see this in context. Every big political campaign with armies of volunteers will have incidents like this, and we should know better than to act like they reflect the campaign for which they volunteer. Otherwise, we’d have to make McCain answer for every supporter who’s openly a racist, a criminal, etc. I don’t think that’s the right way to choose our leaders. Let’s judge them on the merits of their own leadership skills.

  64. sctanker on February 13th, 2008 at 1:57 pm

    Okaaaayyyy…maybe we should have a Republican office with a German flag with Hitler’s face superimposed, and call it “fashion” or “youth trendiness?”

  65. cubanamericanboy on February 13th, 2008 at 4:26 pm

    A Cuban gentleman named Pierre San Martin was among those jailed by Che Guevara in the early months of the Cuban Revolution. In an El Nuevo Herald article from December 28, 1997 San Martin recalled the horrors: “Thirteen of us were crammed into a cell. Sixteen of us would stand while the other sixteen tried to sleep on the cold filthy floor. We took shifts that way. Dozens were led from the cells to the firing squad daily. The volleys kept us awake. We felt that any one of those minutes would be our last.

    One morning the horrible sound of that rusty steel door swinging open startled us awake and Che’s guards shoved a new prisoner into our cell. He was a boy, maybe 14 years old. His face was bruised and smeared with blood. “What did you do?” We asked horrified. “I tried to defend my papa,” gasped the bloodied boy. “But they sent him to the firing squad.”

    Soon Che’s guards returned. The rusty steel door opened and they yanked the boy out of the cell. “We all rushed to the cell’s window that faced the execution pit,” recalls Mr. San Martin. “We simply couldn’t believe they’d murder him.

    “Then we spotted him, strutting around the blood-drenched execution yard with his hands on his waist and barking orders–Che Guevara himself. ‘Kneel down!’ Che barked at the boy.

    “Assassins!” we screamed from our window.

    “I said: KNEEL DOWN!” Che barked again.

    The boy stared Che resolutely in the face. “If you’re going to kill me,” he yelled, “you’ll have to do it while I’m standing! Men die standing!”

    “Murderers!” the men yelled desperately from their cells. “Then we saw Che unholstering his pistol. He put the barrel to the back of the boys neck and blasted. The shot almost decapitated the young boy.

    “We erupted…’Murderers!–Assassins!’” His murder finished, Che finally looked up at us, pointed his pistol, and emptied his clip in our direction. Several of us were wounded by his shots.”

    This young, idealistic volunteer probably thinks that Che was some sort of a civil rights activists for Latinos, sometime long before she was born.

    I think you’re giving her too much credit. She’s not like the vapid college students we see with Che t-shirts. She’s 54 years old, and was born in Cuba.

    She ought to know better.

    24 years in the military and I’m glad to see that it’s not all for naught. You definitely use your freedoms, that’s for sure. My TEENAGE sons put their hands on their hearts at ballgames (or remove their hat and put that over their heart). They remove their hats when the flag passes in parades and they know the words to the NA.

    If you think that’s embarassing, maybe you should consider what was written over 200 years ago at the University of Edinburgh:

    A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence:

    From bondage to spiritual faith;
    From spiritual faith to great courage;
    From courage to liberty;
    From liberty to abundance;
    From abundance to selfishness;
    From selfishness to apathy;
    From apathy to dependence;
    From dependence back into bondage.” — Alexander Fraser Tytler

    This was written during the colonization of the U.S. He was writing, however, on the fall of the Athenian Republic.

    I’d say if you think showing your true patriotism is “embarassing”, you’ve definitely reached the apathy stage. Oh, and if you live in the great state of Texas, you should move…
