Does anyone cry for country music or opera during Cinco de Mayo? If you don’t like the music options then do not attend. Simple

Over 71000 people attended Go Tejano day at the rodeo and less that 100 whiny babies complain about {no one cares} and the media idiots give the whiny babies air time…

    Typical.

Scrue em. I want an American Day, Hebrew Day, Caucasian Day, African American Day, Philipino Day. This PC has gotten totally out of hand.

That was a good way to become an insignificant leader in the Hispanic community. Now, will those whiners go away or will they try this again next year.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    GO RODEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The media tried to feed this small flicker of a flame but it fizzled out.

Go start your OWN rodeo, if you don’t like it! Yeah, like THAT is gonna happen!

Flames? Nary even smoke showing. I suspect the collective “Who cares?” from rodeo patrons blew this sucker out before it could kindle.

What I thought was funny is that one of the protestors was complaining that it was not “Tejano enough” - that it was too “Mexican”.

  8. vlou on March 17th, 2008 at 12:27 pm

Why is it always blacks and Latinios who complain/whine about not getting enough of their “day”. Get a grip you folks and start your own day with your own “group” and for once get off your fat behinds and do something for yourself.

When do I get my WASP day?

Or wouldn’t that be PC enough?

Bigjolly: Thank you for bringing a smile to my very “unpreductive” day.

Yes, it’s just one day at the Rodeo, but it’s every day in every aspect of life. I’m glad they were smacked down this year. But this won’t go away. Next year they will start earlier, cry louder, protest more, and maybe next year, the Rodeo committee will give in. Incrementally, they will win.

In a strange way this should bring to the attention of Tejanos the danger of unfettered illegal immigration. The music of Mexico is now more popular than our homegrown Tejano music.

    ST,

Darlin’, you’ve caught me in too many spelling errors to post something like that. I just spent 10 minutes staring at 24 words I wrote trying to figure out what I misspelled. Still lookin’.

Do you know I thought I remembered something about the Tejano community complaining because they weren’t getting a Tejano band for Go Tejano day…and I was MAJORLY confused when I looked at the lineup a week later and saw a mexican sounding band…and thought to myself I don’t get it? Of course, I’m such a MORON to not know the difference between Tejano and Hispanic/Mexican/whatever the heck they are.

    #13 BJ: Twern’t you. Mebbe me?/still lookin’… :)

All’s I was thinking was that I didn’t git my yard mowed and felt so much better about the failed boycott.

Thanks again for bringing a smile to my face!!!! he he he!!! I really needed that today. Heck, I’m looking forward to tomorrow.
