The Town Hall that PBS had last night on Immigration was very interesting on many levels.
I have been literally, “un-packing” the events of last night and trying to make sense of them in one way or another.
Over all, it was a positive experience for most participants.
It was the first time that I actually saw a room of people on this very touchy subject, try to talk to each other and not at each other.
That is a huge step forward if anything is to be solved on this subject.
I have a lot to say about this program, but events have conspired to keep me from the time needed at a computer this afternoon.
At this time, I will share some pictures I took. Hopefully, it will give you an idea of what was going on:

Was this on last night or filmed?
Thanks Ree-C, looking forward to hearing more details when you have time.
Dave D, It was on last night at 7 but had been taped a bit earlier in the day.
It was on last night live at 7:00 p.m. to 8:00. Parts had been previously taped (like the YouTube questions submitted), but the people you see in my pictures participated Live.
From 8:00 to 8:40, another segment was taped and is supposed to be put on the PBS website.
As soon as I can get on a computer for any length of time, I’ll write more.
I watched the whole gig. The thing that amazes me is the folks who just want us to roll over and provide all the goods to illegals are never concerned with the costs and who is bearing them. The high school teacher and college professor were literally scary. One hispanic guy just dismissed all the costs of illegal immigration out of hand “they’re just wrong” with absolutely nothing to base his statement on. Another thing that came out was that the guy we have in charge of the Harris County Hospital District couldn’t be more wrong for that position. His head needs to roll - he’s completely beholden to his “constituency” and clearly views the $100,000,000 spent on illegals as trivial. Another thing, can we do away with the term “undocumented”? It demeans citizenship. I’m amused(to keep from being depressed) about the cavalier use of the term “right(s)”. I never knew that so many existed, regardless if obtaining/granting them means depriving someone else of the “right” to their money. I am saddened that our government/culture has produced so many folks that “feel” they have a right to other people’s money. The UTMB fellow that said that institution regularly doles out $40,000-60,000 in drug costs to treat illegal cancer patients was pretty astonishing.
Lawrence, Yup I was likewise amazed and the cavalier attitude of some and their chutzpah in expressing it in public. Maybe they forgot this was going out over the ether.
PBS watchers are full of like minds.
And you can thank the crazed Captain Ahab Bush and his monomaniacal pursuit of the NAU–cheap labor–open borders–and total chaos.
He has no respect for our laws, his duty or his oath. It’s his agenda at all costs, everyone else be darned.
I find it ironic, that just days after a 39 year old old woman is carjacked and murdered in Houston, by an illegal alien–And while she’s trying to protect her 4 month old baby…
Captain Ahab Bush is in New Orleans–smiling and slapping Felipe Calderon on the back, as they reopen a Mexican Consular office–AKA-Illegal Alien facilitation office.
Captain Ahab Bush continues to smile and snicker like Mutley the dog–He has not a care in the world–or maybe he’s just part sinister and part insane.
If any president ever deserved to be impeached, it’s Captain Ahab Bush.
But since no weak-kneed republicans(rinos)could bring themselves to do the right thing, Captain Ahab Bush has been free to subvert our immigration laws and violate his oath at will.
And if Hillary or Obama happen to win in November–You can also thank Captain Ahab Bush for that gift, too.
The “rights” of illegals ( medical care, schooling, welfare, food stamps, etc) will NEVER be retracted nor reduced. All the blowhard politicians will just talk a big game.
