BigJ, the numbers are accurate. The polls were taken in Noriega’s offices.

Perhaps you should have said the DK is nothing more than a shrill for the far left.

You “accidently” forgot about this -

Rasmussen. 5/1. Likely voters. MoE 4%
    Cornyn (R) 47
    Noriega (D) 43

So is Rasmussen part of the elaborate “Fundraising Shenanigans”? I am not naive enough to believe that Noriega has a real shot in November…but I do expect it to be within 8 pts. Not bad for Texas.

Big Jolly hasn’t figured out that these Dems are confused and think they are being asked about this guy:

I’ve heard of “spinning” the numbers but they are suppose to be kinda believable otherwise they lose creditablity. But then look who is providing them!! Or maybe they did some “super” wording of those poll questions to get these results. In any case, if they keep this up their poll results will be in the “comic” section of the paper.

HoustonDem, look at 2006 results for statewide elected offices in Texas. Tell me if anything stands out for you.

5 - Nothing specific. What am I looking for?

  7. Phil_M on May 9th, 2008 at 4:18 pm

Most respondents probably heard the name Noriega and thought of Manuel.

Any dems win a statewide elected office in 2006? What was the average margin between the winners and the losers?

OK I’ll agree that we can’t take the pole as gospel as far as being within striking distance of Cornyn. That being said, calling Cornyn one of the best and brightest Texas has is a bit of a stretch. Come on now, we’re talking about all two of the Texas Senators. Frankly I think Cornyn is unreliable. Remember when he tried to sneak in the Mexican infrastructure bill?

8 - The repubs won big…in some cases very big. But that was 2006. It is pretty obvious more and more people are frustrated by everything that is going on…

Don’t assume what happened in 06 will happen in 08.

For anyone that truely believes that Noriega will beat Cornyn in November give me a shout. I would like to get a few bets down.

    Exactly what I thought.

HoustonDem, remember, this is Texas, not NY, Cal, IL, or any other liberal state.

OK I’ll agree that we can’t take the pole as gospel

Stop it, Jim. Before you get in trouble…
