Before She was a Soldier’s Mom

She never tripped over a rucksack or knew the words to the Army song.

She didn’t worry whether or not her child could shoot or had “zeroed up”.

She never imagined saying, “Good job!” when her child told her he had jumped out of a perfectly good airplane… or when he qualified with a grenade launcher.

She could not have told you the difference between division, brigade, regiment, battalion, company, platoon or squad.

    She cheered for Navy.

Before She was a Soldier’s Mom

She never looked into a soldier’s eyes and cried.

    She didn’t understand “HOOAH”.

She never imagined She could be so gloriously happy over a simple “Hey, Ma.”

Before She was a Soldier’s Mom

She had complete control of her mind and her thoughts.

    She slept all night.

She never sat up late staring at a computer screen or woke in the middle of the night just to check if the computer and cell phone were working.

Before She was a Soldier’s Mom

She never knew that so few words could affect her life so deeply: Deployment. Bradley. Wounded. and I never knew the alphabet could rob her of breath: OIF. IED. RPG. WIA. KIA.

She never felt her heart break into a million pieces when she couldn’t stop my child’s hurt.

She didn’t weep at the sound of “Taps”, the National Anthem or “American Soldier”.

She never held back a scream or had her knees go weak at an unexpected knock at the door.

Before She was a Soldier’s Mom

She never had so many sisters! (and brothers) nor so many sons and daughters!

She never felt fear so completely…. and

    She never felt such pride.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL THE MILITARY MOMS!! FIRST YOU ROCKED THEIR CRADLES… NOW THEY ROCK THE WORLD.

Here in the Gotham City area, we are having a spectacular spring day for Mother’s present and long gone, old and young, those sainted souls who grace the lives of children everywhere.

I’d like to thank God for Mothers. In a world where Countries are taking over the Family incrementally, I hope we will always keep fighting for Families and their importance to society.

    God cannot be everywhere?
What kind of God are we talking here?
If He is a real God He should be , must be, everywhere!

God bless the mothes of the earth.

If you have not seen “A Mom’s Day In 2 Minutes”, it’s well worth the watch. If you’ve seen it once already, and even a thousand times already, than enjoy it again.
