As if the left didn’t have enough ammo about hypocritical Republicans, we now get this:
But, but….we need that! Didn’t you hear that California is now allowing men to marry men! And women to marry women! Stop it! We need an amendment! Right?

You are a naughty, naughty boy Big Jolly…
Since this is an election year political move to force Democrats to publicly vote against traditional, heterosexual monogamy, you would think the geniuses behind it would have taken much more care in how it appeared to the public. Unfortunately, I find this to be indicative of the strategic horse-sense (lack thereof) of the Senate Republicans. Since it will never get out of committee for a floor vote, the only thing they have done is provide fodder for Matthews and Olberman, Leno and Letterman. There are few things I could imagine more stupid on their part.

Kinda like when Ted Kennedy questioned, who was it, Bolton, if the questionee believed water-bordering was a form of torture. The Senator might have wanted to defer THAT specific question to another.
In the unlikely event that this bill (unlike its predecessors) does not die in committee, I’ll offer this positive spin:
But seriously folks, these politicians could really use a heaping helping of mind your own business.
