    Since this is an election year political move to force Democrats to publicly vote against traditional, heterosexual monogamy, you would think the geniuses behind it would have taken much more care in how it appeared to the public. Unfortunately, I find this to be indicative of the strategic horse-sense (lack thereof) of the Senate Republicans. Since it will never get out of committee for a floor vote, the only thing they have done is provide fodder for Matthews and Olberman, Leno and Letterman. There are few things I could imagine more stupid on their part.

    Larry? He told me his name was Spencer. Could have been my mistake. The music on the dance floor was rather loud.

    Pathetic attempt or not, I’ll support it. I’ll be sure to contact Cornyn and Hutchinson to support it if it does come out of committee.

    What a pair. The late-night shows will have fun with them. Too bad such a serious subject is championed by the less-than-honorable whose personal history involving marriage leaves so much to be desired.

    #7;

    Kinda like when Ted Kennedy questioned, who was it, Bolton, if the questionee believed water-bordering was a form of torture. The Senator might have wanted to defer THAT specific question to another.

    In the unlikely event that this bill (unlike its predecessors) does not die in committee, I’ll offer this positive spin:

    Conservative Republicans: Reducing the size of government to point where it fits in your bedroom!

    But seriously folks, these politicians could really use a heaping helping of mind your own business.
