    David, do you think there is a “hidden” reason why Israel is releasing Kuntar? It makes no sense on the surface, but the Israeli government is shrewd, so I have to believe it’s part of a larger agenda, don’t you?

    As I whine about the cost of this or that, in my comfort, and safety, this family lived terror and terror lives. It’s almost hard to grasp clutching your child, trying to keep them quiet to the point of smothering them. Israel better have something good up their sleeve.

    I heard John Batchelor interviewing Danny Ayalon, the Israeli ambassador to the US, on Sunday night. Batchelor was fairly outraged by this exchange agreement. Ayalon tried to explain, very diplomatically, the Ohlmert administration’s reasons for making this agreement. But you could hear the anguish and pain in his voice. It was palpable, as was mine.

    And Israel officially oposes the death penalty? Liberal justice always invovles allowing people like Kuntar out of prison. Trade a evil murderer for dead bodies. Liberalism, liberalism, liberalism. Why Bush thinks peace is available by giving Palestinians everything is beyond my small conservative brain to comprehend. Olmert shoud be dragged in the street and shot. He’s really that bad.

    It’s called liberalism headshaker.

    Let’s hope they surreptitiously placed a geo tracking chip inside him. I doubt there’s an umbrella yet made that’ll stop an Israeli missile rain.

  7. Adee on July 16th, 2008 at 9:11 am

    Olmert is worse than N. Chamberlain, and Israelis would do well to dump him before he destroys the nation. Would love to hear Bibi Netanyahu on this if it is printable. The liberal castrati always can be counted on for such stupidity.

  8. Dov on July 16th, 2008 at 9:38 am

    I am not going to enter the politics of this prisoner swap for dead IDF soldiers however Israel very much like the United States Marine Corp is not going to leave one of it’s own behind on the field of battle

  9. a crazy canuk on July 16th, 2008 at 9:50 am

    #8 Dov: I agree. I recently read an article on this topic and it stated as you did that an important part of the culture is not leaving anyone behind. The government has been under tremendous pressure to get the return of these soldiers.
    It is unfortunate that the Isrealies did not give them the terrorist back in the same condition that they recieved their soldiers.

  10. Darren10 on July 16th, 2008 at 9:51 am

    DOV;

    So what murderer will you be willing to trade for dead soldiers?

  11. Darren10 on July 16th, 2008 at 9:59 am

    #9;

    If this is so important to Israel than they should have kept up pressure to destroy Hamas and Hezbollah. Iran is now directly involved n this “little” battle asd they’ve taken direct control n Lebanon. This would not be the case if Hamas and Hezbollah were dead.

    Do you or DOV realize how bad Ehud Olmert is? If Bush treated our country the way Olmert’s treated his, Bush would no doubtedly have been impeached and there would be open revolt. But liberalism has taken hold in Israel so bad that they will not execute even someone like Kunar and they’d rather have rocket rain from the sky before retaliating.

    This is not about any honor code whatsoever. This is appeasment. Kunar is a great hero among Hamas. THAT’S why Olmert released him. Olmert hates Israel and hates Judaic teachings and principles. The Knesset was about to be dissolved and new elections ushered in. But Olmert’s party made a final minute alliance to avoid that. Had theelections been made, Olmert would be out and this trade would NOT happen. If this trade were about honoring the dead, than the trade would proceed unhampered, regardless who became Israel’s new prime minister. But, again, it’s not. It’s about a leader, Olmert, who hates what his country stands for and hates its religious foundation that he’d rather insult that foundation and appease to Israels enemies than to allow his country to prosper in the manner it has for decades.

  12. Bonecrusher on July 16th, 2008 at 10:00 am

    Israel seems to repeat the same mistakes; they trade multiple live terrorists/murderers caught in the act for 1or 2 Israeli corpses; this is an out rage that must stop. The appopriate solution is to kill all terrorists during “interrogation” and make sure that the murdering, terorist, slimeballs pay at least 100 to 1 for every Israeli death. My heart breaks for Israel and all her people who have to endure such atrocities.

  13. Darren10 on July 16th, 2008 at 10:03 am

    Now we’re talking.

  14. Dov on July 16th, 2008 at 10:13 am

    Darren 10

    Again I am not going to enter the politics of this trade however Israel has long made lopsided trades to bring their bodies home. This has to be done for the morale of the IDF soldiers in the field.

    And yes Olmert is one of the worst leaders Israel has ever had however from the article

    “But despite dissatisfaction over Hezbollah’s report on the airman, provided over the weekend, and under pressure from the captured soldiers’ families to bring them home, Israel’s Cabinet voted on Tuesday to release Kantar. ”

    The part I do not agree with was granting this scum a pardon. Seek him out, hunt him down and blow his a$$ to he11 !

  15. Darren10 on July 16th, 2008 at 10:31 am

    DOV;

    Thank you for your reply. Let me repeat though tha this case has nothing to do with honor. It has everything to do with appeasing the enemies of Israel as well as to raise the middle finger to Jews.

  16. texan1953 on July 16th, 2008 at 10:37 am

    Ahhhh….Islam ~ such a peaceful state of mind. Hamas ~ so mis-understood. America still sleeps.

  17. a crazy canuk on July 16th, 2008 at 10:39 am

    14, 15: I again agree with Dov. I have been trying to find the specific article I read but with no success. Explaining the thinking of Olmert and the Isrealies does not imply agreement with their actions.

    I would have sent them home in a vat of pig fat. That said Olmert like so many of politicians did what politicians do… try to appease a vocal group at home and make deals with the enemy.

    What ever happened to Randolph Scott - from the song

  18. raiderdav on July 16th, 2008 at 10:45 am

    A Hamas spokesman said the swap was a “victory for the resistance,” adding: “It proves that a useful way to liberate prisoners from the jails of the occupation is to capture Zionist soldiers.”

    I can’t see the logic in this anywhere.

  19. texan1953 on July 16th, 2008 at 10:53 am

    #17 - vat of pig fat; nice touch

  20. Dov on July 16th, 2008 at 10:55 am

    17

    I have long been of the opinion that the Israelis shoul hang pig renderings everywhere. Especially wherever an Islam turd wants to blow himself up.

    Now in the future, all prisoner swaps should include a chip next to the brain of each prisoner Israel releases. And a final note to each prisoner. Now go be a good boy and remember, the chip is there for a reason, don’t make us push that special button

    “I can’t believe the “Israel Lobby” sat still for this - from Condoleezza Rice:

    I can’t even imagine the anguish this poor woman lives in daily. It is a miracle she hasn’t put a bullet in her brain pan.

    As for this piece of scum masquerading as a human being, I think a welcoming show consisting of bright colorful “fireworks” for him and his compadres would be very fitting.

    Next time you look up “injustice” in the dictionary, this should be the definition.

  24. Big45Iron on July 16th, 2008 at 12:30 pm

    These terrorists will get theirs. I don’t doubt that at all. Israel should do just that though. Implant a GPS device in every terrorist they release. When they’ve stopped for a period of time, you can bet there are other terrorists gathered around them. BOOM!

    Hey, now that he’s not a prisoner, he’s a combatant. Fair game.

    How anyone who bashes a little girl’s head in can be called a hero is beyond me. There is no reasoning with people like this, and to think so is foolishness and pride (BHO, Jimmy Carter, are you listening?)

  26. Dov on July 16th, 2008 at 1:32 pm

    Meanwhile from another news story regarding this prisoner trade.

    “The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas said the Hezbollah deal strengthened its own hand in demanding freedom for hundreds of prisoners in exchange for captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. ”

    This foolishness needs to stop. Israel needs to change to “Take no prisoners” that way they can trade corpses for corpses

  27. texpat on July 16th, 2008 at 3:15 pm

    Five months ago, this human debris, one of the most highly-guarded figures in the Mideast, was killed.

    No one claimed credit for it.

    No one said a word.

    Among the most silent was the Israeli government.

    He will never murder again.

    It is just a matter of time for Kuntar.

  28. carbon-credit on July 16th, 2008 at 5:00 pm

    #27…Texpat…I hope you’re right. When the Israeli govt starts losing its balls, we are ALL in trouble. After all, who in the world is going to be a stop-gap against Iran? Certainly not the US.

  29. georgeaz on July 16th, 2008 at 7:38 pm

    Once again the Israeli government pays its share in making a legend out of Hezbollah!!! As a Christian Lebanese I always heard about Samir Kuntar but never knew the cruelty of his barbaric act till I read the story as written by Smadar Haran when I googled his name today and saw her article in the Washington post that was written back in 2003.
    I don’t know and can never think about any reason whatsoever for the Israeli government to accept the release of such a low life criminal that smashed the skull of a 4 years old girl by the rifle butt.
    If the Israeli gov. and the court in Israel forgave this piece of shit for one reason or another I really wish that he will burn in hell for ever…

  30. Darren10 on July 16th, 2008 at 7:38 pm

    DOV and Crazy;

    Thank you for your replies. I enjoyed hearing from both of you respectively as to what you’d like to do with Islamic scum like Kuntar. Let me add that they should drink pig’s blood while alive (then proceed to your pouring pig’s blood over their corpses) and have a strip of bacon hanging out of each nostrl as they are buried.

  31. Dov on July 16th, 2008 at 7:44 pm

    I heard a story years ago. The Israeli government supposedly wanted to speak with a high profile bomb maker. Supposedly the Israelis got a cell phone that was to be smuggled to the bomb maker if he wanted amnesty.

    The story goes that 2 weeks later the Israelis got a call from that particular phone. Israel had kept flights airborne one after another til the call came in. When the call came in they voice printed the caller. The jets pushed a special button. Moral of the story is, If you are holding a cell phone to your ear be sure there is no C4 in it.

  32. Dov on July 16th, 2008 at 7:51 pm

    29 Darren 10

    As a Jew we are allowed to play baseball with pigs, ride em, throw the pigskin around. whatever as long as we don’t eat pork.

    Muslims on the other hand believe they are cursed if they come in contact with a pig. If they touch a pig they don’t get their 72 year old virgin.

    What you described in your post 29 would definitely curse the Islamic scum.

  33. redneckneighbor on July 16th, 2008 at 8:10 pm

    I believe in the battle of good -vs- evil. He will pay his price someday.

  34. Darren10 on July 16th, 2008 at 8:35 pm

    DOV;

    Moral of the story is, If you are holding a cell phone to your ear be sure there is no C4 in it.

    Say, I’ll teach that in Sunday School.

    And also, for any scum that beats the brains in of a four year old girl, whatever we can do to curse the person, I won’t stand in the way.

    Perhaps a new secret weapon can be made to shoot ham at whatever attack stands n the way. That’ would be very useful indeed in certain parts of the world.
