The Audacity of Racism, Again
by The Panda Man · 07/31/2008 9:57 amDo you support Barack Obama for president? If you do, do you ever really listen to your candidate? The rookie Senator from Illinois has dipped into his deck of race cards yet again to smear his political competition as a bunch of good ol’ white boys who don’t like “darkies.”
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Democrat Barack Obama, the first black candidate with a shot at winning the White House, says John McCain and his Republican allies will try to scare them by saying Obama “doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills.”
Let us ignore the fact that only George Washington appears on the dollar bill (not “all those other presidents,” Senator) and cut right to the chase. Senator Obama loves to talk about “hope” and “change,” but he constantly offers us nothing but the same trite, vapid political rhetoric that Democrats have been using for at least the last forty years. In fact, the Democrat Party is so bereft of ideas that it is a foregone conclusion that every election cycle a Democrat will make grandiose promises to voters, then try to scare them by calling a Republican a racist, insensitive monster who wants to take money from the poor so he can buy more gold toilet seats for his pasty white butt.
Where is the “change” and “hope” in all of this? The answer, if we are willing to face it, is that there is none. If we could be totally honest with ourselves, we would recognize that Senator Obama is simply a very inexperienced politician from Illinois with a lot of racist baggage (Jeremiah Wright), some nice-sounding but incredibly naïve ideas (talking with Iran), and no real-world accomplishments to speak of. He aspires to the leadership of the free world based on little more than his ability to enchant listeners as he reads from a teleprompter.
Are you willing to sell yourself to such a man as this? Is your vote so easily purchased that a nice suit, a suave speech, and some mellifluous words are all that is required to gain it? Stop reflexively hammering Republicans, put down the political bludgeon, step back from your emotions, and look at Senator Obama in a quiet light. Is he really qualified to be President of the United States?
This “racist” does not think so.

Now, all we need from “BO” is a promise of reparations and things will be complete. It’s becoming obvious, the longer the campaign, the more “BO” exposes himself to the American public. What is that old saying that goes something like this: Say nothing and the public will wonder about your intelligence. Open your mouth and they will know. If “BO” wants to play the “race cards”, he had better be careful or he will turn the white voters in his party. Things about “BO” that have been bouncing off him, have started to put dents in his armor and he hasn’t even made it the convention, yet. HELLary, maybe you had better start thinking about an acceptance speech.
More and more people are starting to see through his charade. He’s little more than a poverty pimp race-baiter. His wife is much worse, almost on par with “Reverend” Al. It’s part of why his poll numbers have not risen in a long time and why he got very little bounce from his excellent adventure. It’s also likely why he had such a hard time with Hillary! after Super Tuesday. His supporters tend to be very enthusiastic, but are the kind of people who go for the flavor of the month and are easily distracted.
I’m thinking that his support will start to deteriorate once people start paying attention and all those evil crackers realize he’s talking about them.
He’s awful. And he scares me.
But it scares me too if he loses. I’m so tired of the media and doom and gloom and everything is Bush’s fault. I’m afraid if McCain wins, we’ll get more of the same. And we’ll also have a lazy do nothing Congress, because the Reps will continue as they’ve been.
I am afraid of this election. If Obama wins the press is happy so instantly the news is better across the board. But he’s an idiot and will probably lead us into WWIII with his ridiculous foreign policies and we’ll be broke and taxed to high heaven. And, I fear, with him in office we will be attacked again.
With McCain, the press is still angry and we have doom and gloom and chicken littles running across the television every night for 4 - 8 years. Like the song says … “I need a hero!”
I agree with StacyE. I actually voted for Obama in the Democratic primary — not to support him, but because I believed the most important first step was to eliminate the Clintons from consideration. Now that I can take a couple of steps back and look at Obama, I realize that he doesn’t know what he is talking about about anything he is talking about. Most of his nostrums were proven worthless in the 1960s and 1970s. He needs to read some books on public policy that are not decades old!
But most frighteningly, the Democratic Party is now filled with blacks who think they are empowered to stomp on everyone who is not one of them, including non-black Obama supporters. You can bet that any federal money that comes their way will be channeled away from non-black communities — there is evidence of that already. No, the best we can do with those folks, if he is elected, is to use their attitude of entitlement to fight the Mexican invasion. At least they hate the illegals as much as we do! And they have more incentive: the illegals are taking their jobs, not ours.
Let’s even assume he meant all the denominations of paper money. Does the Senator realize that Hamilton and Franklin were not presidents?
Obama just got finished watching this movie…
It appears that his “president in waiting” act has opened him up to being the butt of late-night tv jokes and has apparently struck a new nerve within the Democrat party.
My cousin in Germany watched all of the goings on while BO was over there.
He calls BO an “Angeber” which means he’s full of himself, arrogant and a pretender. The Germans are nice to BO to his face but among themselves
many of them are laughing and cracking jokes. Don’t forget that they were serving beer at the meeting and the Tiergarten is a very popular venue for the young and restless. The older Germans have a much different opinion.
Stacey and ghostrider, what are we gonna do? we have the worst two candidates in the last 50 years, both scare me to death.
When it comes to our current choices for prez, we are stuck between poop and crap. Anybody of substance (and also lacking in malodor) aka Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, or Freddie T have been eliminated and Bob Barr has no chance on 3rd party. At this point my optic nerve has been fused to my rectal nerve and I have a crappy outlook:>(
So he is already puting his picture on a Bill????????????what a 25 dollar gill
Reply to No. 8: Figure out who can do the most damage to what you believe in and vote for the other guy. The key here is the potential Supreme Court nominations that might come up during the next President’s four year term and the way it is going, neither will get a second term. Remember those Supreme Court nominations are for LIFE. So if “BO” got elected and nominated some young guy, that damage could last your life time.
The Clintonistas set racial relations back 25 years with their class envy and race baiting. Huessien and his cohorts, in the MSM, will destroy racial relations completely before this election is over. Of course Bush and the republicans will be blamed for it. Just a reminder it was the republicans who got LBJ’s Civil Rights Act passed. Huessiens hope and change seems to be aimed at the fact he hopes everything racial will change back to pre 1964 so he will have something to blame his inadequacies on. His hate baiting wife is clearly a race baiter.
Cult of Personality: I have several acquaintances that continually switch between revulsion and a near messianic devotion to BHO. And during their devotion stages, they continually try to convince me how wonderful he is. So I keep sending them links to try to wake ‘em up. I don’t even try to talk to them. Sometimes is works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Scary.
Playing the race card is just another symptom. All personality, no substance.
The noon news on KTRH radio actually mentioned the McCain complaint about TEO’s use of the “dollar bills” line. The local anchor reported it fairly factually, but the tone of voice led me to believe she thought the TEO response was along the lines of “methinks he protesteth too much”.
From the SFGate newspaper a question that will boggle the mind. Could Obama be our first Asian president? Pretty soon he will be like most of us Heinz 57.

Well why not? He’s already been to all 58 states.
Race is irrelevant.
Unless you are racist.
Roger Kimball wrote an excellent article on this very topic.
Did Karl Marx get his history wrong again?
I think we’d be better off to just KICK THE RED STATES OUT OF THE UNION.
Especially Texas. And then, when their economy collapses and they are attacked by Al Qaeda, the pickup-driving rednecks will become the very “illegal immigrants” they despise by trying to get into the Blue States! In that case, I’ll be all for border security, and I’ll create my own San Diego chapter of the Minutemen! Texans stay out! And since ya’ll don’t believe in global warming, I say the rest of us build space colonies and get up off this planet and let ‘em stay behind and fry! (not to mention having to relocate Houston when the ice shelves collapse and raise the ocean 100 feet. Me? Former Marine, live in the “rough part” of San Francisco Bay area (Oakland) and I drive a Prius with Obama ‘08 sticker and an AR-15 in the hatch and 9mm on my person. Hey, at least I have to thank Texans for standing up for my right to bear arms!!
Scorpion King;
If this is at all possible, let me know. I’d be glad to donate to help you leave my planet.
Also, vote for Obama so that your AR-15 and 9mm are taken away. In fact, why not just bring them to DC? Actually, you probably can now. Oh well. If you posted this just a few months ago, that would have been an amusing comment.
Take care and God bless.
I liked the comment: “Race isn’t relevant - unless you’re a racist” Very apt!
2. scorpion: Are you for real???
About OB - He keeps talking about “change” - but never clarifies. What does he have in mind? Does anyone know? Agreed, some of - make that MOST of - those folks inside the beltway need to get out more and find out what’s going on in the rest of the nation, but I don’t think that’s what OB has in mind. After listening to him and reading his books, I believe what he wants to do is turn our government - and our country - upside down! A lot of you who post on this site keep whining about RINO’S and McCain turning away from conservative values. THAT can be corrected - as long as our present form of government exists. If OB’s “change” takes place…?
A lot of space on this site is devoted to the injustice of Ramos and Compean. Want more of the same? Imagine what 4 - or, God forbid! - 8 years of an elitist, left leaning, racist, liberal appointing judges will get you!
Ever hear the old saying, “Be careful what you wish for - you might get it?”
4. So - go ahead! Stay home on election day - or worse, vote for OB! I hope you like what you get…!
