Hurricane Gustav is bearing down on the Gulf Coast. Watches extend from Galveston Bay to Alabama. Winds are 140 MPH.

The Superdome is closed and so is the Astrodome. Ray Nagin is under close psychiatric supervision. Bobby Jindal has the Louisiana National Guard ready to roll.
