So, you have a little money and think you are going to criticize Barack Obama. That’s fine but have your lawyers ready. Your personal, criminal defense lawyers.
Obama general counsel Bob Bauer today sent a second, sharper letter to the Justice Department, directly attacking the Dallas billionaire funding a harsh attack ad, Harold Simmons.
“We reiterate our request that the Department of Justice fulfill its commitment to take prompt action to investigate and to prosecute the American issues Project, and we further request that the Department of Justice investigate and prosecute Howard (sic) Simmons for a knowing and willful violation of the individual aggregate contribution limits,” he wrote.
Isn’t that special? It worked for his team in the primaries.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Bauer has called for criminal investigations and prosecutions into the donors to independent groups critical of Obama, including one supporting John Edwards and another supporting Hillary Rodham Clinton. His words did have the effect of scaring their donors and consultants, but haven’t yet appeared to result in any prosecution.
Something tells me that the bullying will not work against billionaire Harold Simmons. But it is nice that The Enlightened One’s team is in effect doubling the $3 million spent in airing the ad by raising its profile. If TEO can help, I can too!

Well, this ad has already gotten widespread notice, and the Obama legal minions are just drawing more attention to it. How silly of them to donate free publicity, but that’s their problem. Thanks to BJ for posting it.
Spouse and I were in our mid 20s when Ayers and his band of thug/terrorist Weather Undergrounders did their deeds, we and well recall them now. That some of them blew themselves up preparing for their assaults on the American public generated no sympathy. Good thing they removed themselves from the gene pool. Ayers and Dohrn should hang around Obama’s neck like an albatross–until it rots. Good on Mr. Simmons. If George Soros gets a pass on his ads, umm Mr. Simmons should also.

I find it interesting that the people who talk of a “chill wind blowing” that will stifle political speech if conservatives/Republicans are elected have absolutely no problem with stifling political speech through these lawsuits or shouting down speakers at public (or even private) venues.
People may be starting to notice.
Lawsuits? Shouting down their oppostion? This is Obama’s idea of change? Even BO should realize the louder the protest, the more people wonder what is BO afraid of…besides the true. He is an empty suit.
The tongues of the blasphemers will be cut out with His swift sword of righteousness. The streets will run red with the blood of the infidels.
If these tactics are good enough for CAIR, they’re good enough for Obama (PBUH).

Isn’t it amazing that exposing the truth about Obama’s opinions, ‘potential’ policies, and Senate record is called an “attack”.

WOW! Why am I reminded of Muslims in any free country, bullying and suing at the drop of a hat? Uh, because that’s exactly what they do? MMmmmmmm . . .
I had the “pleasure” of a Muslim student in a grad school setting. He cheated, lied, and generally tried to bully himself into a grade. Anytime anyone reported or confronted him, he’d fly into a rage and manufacture reasons that the witnesses were out to get him. It was a farce, and eventually the school got past it’s reluctance to get sued and failed him a couple of times. He eventually graduated, but is a blight on the profession today.
The same pattern was playing out in Australia; if the cops looked at one of the “MoMED’s” (Male of Middle Eastern Decent), they’d bury the department in lawsuits and paperwork. The police eventually became reluctant to deal with the monkey-poo, and would avoid confrontations with the complainants, even though there was good evidence they were selling drugs and fencing property.
Sounds like old BHO and his dawgs went to the same grammar school.
If they aren’t careful, the same thing that happen in Australia will happen here; there will be a general uprising demanding and making change. Five thousand Aussie males showed up at a public beach where Aussie women were being routinely molested and abused by groups of Muslim men, and kicked the cr@p out of anyone looking like a MoMED. When the cops showed up to arrest all the brawlers, they kicked the cr@p out of the cops, and told them they’d better start doing their jobs.

Imagine kicking the stuffing out of the Federal Election Commission for selectively enforcing the “no campaigning in churches” position or pushing to get accountability for “walking around money”.
