Effective! I hope it reaches many voters and convinces them to go to the polling places and vote McCain/Palin this November.

I would love to see an ad that includes the following:

“Sarah Palin’s investigation for having a trooper fired in her state has been widely and wildly reported.

The trooper tried to taser his own 11 year old son and made death threats.

Sarah Palin’s daughter is pregnant, and that has been widely and wildly reported.

Sarah’s family is dealing with this event together, as a family. As do many families in our world today.

Sarah Palin has been accused of faking a pregnancy to somehow cover for her daughter, and that has been widely and wildly reported.

That has been disproved with the revelation of her daughter’s pregnancy, which was forced into the limelight by these same accusations.

Barack Obama’s campaign has referred to her as a “former mayor,” and the media has reported that widely and wildly as well.

Sarah Palin has not only been the executive in charge of her town, but she has been governor of a state, in charge of billions of budget dollars, and managed thousands of employees. All of this is overlooked.

    The media is running wild.

    They should be careful.

    Governor Palin shoots wild things.

I went on the internet and tried to find out what improved in Obama’s district when he was in the Illinois legislature. I couldn’t find a single mention of anything. No discussion at all.

Apparently people HOPED Obama’s district would CHANGE. I have tried to find stories on what changed in Obama’s district. If you look up on line Obama’s 13th District, which then spanned Chicago South Side neighborhoods from Hyde Park-Kenwood south to South Shore and west to Chicago Lawn, you will see it was and remains a crime infested hell hole - EXCEPT the richer Hyde Park/Kenwoods area where Obama lives. The median family income of $57,460 in Hyde Park and $43,554 in Kenwood also are three times greater than the median incomes in some neighboring communities, according to the latest census data.

Nothing improved in those other less affluent areas. One need only look at the crime stats from these areas. Oh, it’s in the same neighborhood as WIlliam Ayres lives.

So in other words Big45, Obama actually “changed” nothing? Whereas Governor Palin HAS changed things?

    On a scale of 1-100,000:

    I give P-Diddy’s commentary on Palin a (-)100,000.

    For tedtam, I give 1,000,000.

    Bravo tedtam, that was remarkable!!!

I come from the old school of math. Yea I know it don’t count any more BUT take these 2 statements and try to apply today’s math an tell me the MSM get’s it.

Sarah Palin’s daughter is pregnant, and that has been widely and wildly reported.

Widely and wildly reported as 5 months along.

Sarah Palin has been accused of faking a pregnancy to somehow cover for her daughter, and that has been widely and wildly reported.

Widely and wildly reported as 4 months old.

I know I’m getting old and my math isn’t what it once was but what did I miss in that computation? Daughter concieved again 1 month BEFORE giving birth?

FYI, if you ignore the partisan, somewhat knee jerk anti-R spin, this article from TalkLeft contains some background I hadn’t seen about Palin’s criminal justice record in Alaska.

Basically she supported some positive stuff in her first session - most prominently seeking to boost funding for sex offender treatment - although the author criticizes her for failing to get the agenda passed in the Legislature.

She’s also appointed a chief of the Department of Corrections who’s in a feud with the prison guard union because, as he tells it, his “focus is on changing how Alaska looks at prisons from a punitive system to a rehabilitative one. He says this has rubbed the old prison guard culture the wrong way.”

I support that agenda. I’m not sure John McCain does.

  14. Big45Iron on September 3rd, 2008 at 8:20 pm

CbR #12, you’d be amazed at what Karl Rove can do with that weather machine.

  15. BigJolly on September 3rd, 2008 at 8:29 pm

Um, yeah, Gritsy, it’s pretty hard to ignore the slams seeing as how that was most of the article.

But to your point, I think that you would be surprised as to how many Republicans would support her budget. Remember, the Republican legislature in Alaska would do anything to slam her because she bucked them and bucked them hard. Which is a good thing.

I don’t know what McCain thinks about the prison system. My hunch is that, if you could show him numbers, he would be in favor of treatment and reducing overall cost.

I think it should just boil down to: “BO”, what have you done? Tell us your accomplishments and show us your executive experience. Shouldn’t you be hyping your skills, rather than questioning someone else’s? I look forward to the debates both presidential and vice presidential.

Thanks Big, just needed to know what I needed to know.

To our lovely Queen tedtam, thanks for letting me take your offerings for my blockquotes.
