Does the plagiarizer, “Copy Machine” Biden understand the concept of using other people’s work without permission?

I bet that the RNC is smart enough to pay ASCAP royalties.

    Running on Empty

The artists have no case, I believe, IF the RNC was smart enough.

I like the Jackson Browne statement about being worried people may think he supports McCain. I don’t think there’s a single person on the planet that would think that. Ever since Daryl Hannah dumped his old hippie ass for “John John” he’s produced nothing but pensive, self-absorbed, whiny protest songs. Put your big boy pants on and deal with it Jackson.

The Pretenders were pi$$ed off at Limbaugh for using their song as his theme. I guess they got over it when the checks kept coming in.

And I was just talking to a friend about how much I liked Heart’s lead singer’s voice (don’t know which one it is); and how the, um, skinnier sister, stepped up to defend her sibling when sex symbolism played against her little sister. Now they’r just dorks. Hw childish of them to complain.

    Democrat’s Self-Proclomations:

    (1) Tolerance:

They are some of the most intolerant people aronud us.

    (2) Acceptence:

Only when it fits their platform and agenda. Otherwise, no acceptence is afforded.

    (3) Peace:

Throwing pee at Republican delegates is not peaceful (unless one phonetically misinterprets “peace”ful). They all deserve to get punched in the stomach by old ladies.

I guess the rumors weren’t true. I had heard that Nancy Wilson choked to death on a small baby someone accidentally left at a Chinese buffet, and Ann died in a tragic mudslide that occurred when she stayed in the sun too long and her makeup melted.

  10. Maltboys Evil Twin on September 5th, 2008 at 10:11 pm

They can use my song, ‘Hold On’. Written by myself and a great friend.
The chorus says: ” Hold On, believe and you will find it.
    Stay strong for your dreams
    . Hold On keep looking for the answer;
You’re reaching for what’s closer than you than it seems.”
Written and copyrighted. It was the finale for the Musical of the same name.
IT came to me from the muse. ( I most be turning into one of those Hollywood types.)

  14. hamous on September 6th, 2008 at 12:48 am

You have a muse??? Where can I git me one a dem muses? ;-)

  15. seanp on September 6th, 2008 at 1:52 am

“Only in America” was co-written by Democrat Don Cook, who didn’t complain when Bush used the same song four years ago. Unlike four years ago, Brooks and Dunn haven’t endorsed a candidate this election year (at least, not as of late August).

But the truth is so much more boring than lies, which is why the GOP can still win elections.

  16. hamous on September 6th, 2008 at 1:59 am

seanp - Please show me where I lied. By your own admission you’re hate-filled. Go play with the kos kids.

  17. seanp on September 6th, 2008 at 2:21 am

“Cajun Maverick” refers to left-wing musicians as “douches,” and I”M hate-filled??? Is this just more GOP irony?

And WTF is a “kos kid”? Cosby kids? I don’t follow you.

  18. hamous on September 6th, 2008 at 2:50 am

    And I quote:

Is this the proper forum to state that I absolutely f’ing hate the GOP?

  19. hamous on September 6th, 2008 at 2:52 am

Not just hate but “f’ing hate”.

And I’m still waiting for the reference to my lie.

  20. seanp on September 6th, 2008 at 3:12 am

And why should I go to a site where people will apparently agree with me? What fun is that? I’d rather piss you guys off and/or finally persuade you to vote for Obama this year (I’m thinking I can single-handedly turn Texas to the Dem. column).

And speaking of hate, I used to live in Arizona (a mere 30 years or so). Compared to Washington state, where I live now, I’d have to surmise that the haters are in traditionally Republican parts of the country.

Example: In Arizona, it wasn’t unusual to see a shirtless male walking around with “White” written down one arm and “Pride” written down the other. It wasn’t uncommon to hear people proudly use the “N” word in public. My wife (then-girlfriend) had a pro-MLK holiday sticker on her car and another motorist went out of his way to make a sh*tty comment to her about it. WTF?!

In contrast, I never hear that stuff in comparatively liberal western Washington. I’m white, but my wife isn’t. I don’t really care if some people up here might think that stuff, but at least they have the brains to not advertise it for me and my family to hear and see (a little family values lesson from the liberal).

But the (admittedly) skillful GOP is able to portray the liberals as the “haters.” We nominated a black presidential candidate with a name rooted in Muslim origins, yet WE’RE the haters! The states in which civil rights workers were beaten and killed, and where black civil rights demonstrators have been sprayed with fire hoses, typically go Rebublican. Yet WE’RE the haters!

(I’m seanp, and I apologize for this extremely hateful message).

P.S. - I am scared to death of Sarah Palin. (GAAAHHHH!!!!) Oh, sorry, I thought I saw Sarah Palin behind me. Damn her!

  21. seanp on September 6th, 2008 at 3:42 am

Yes, but I’m not hate FILLED. I’m mostly full of love, but I, yes, admittedly, f’ing hate the GOP.

It’s a lie by omission to suggest that ol’ Brooks and Dunn are gracious as hell about their song, but all the libs are bunch of hate-filled (there’s that word again) monsters. The song was co-written by a DEMOCRAT! He didn’t (as far as I know) complain about his song being used by Bush, but your post suggests that conservatives are easy-going about this stuff while liberals are a bunch of meanies. (Or could it be all the acid I’ve been taking lately? Could that be it? Is a lie only like, “That car is red,” when it’s actually blue?).

It’s like the stuff about ‘community organizing’ the other night. Republicans can stand there and bash community organizing as if it’s the work of Satan, yet then the next night McCain talks about how great it is to defend your country and help your community. If he were a maverick, he would have said, “And yes, MY FRIENDS, you could also become a community organizer! I know my running mate and others bashed community organizing last night, but that was just a bunch of partisan rhetoric designed to get you focused on nonsense rather than the real issues.” (Or something like that). I would have respected the sh*t out of the guy if he said that. And Rudy G. of all people shouldn’t mislead the American people like he did. As mayor (I read this today in some no-doubt lying liberal rag) he worked with community organizers (and their brainwashed underlings. Oops, I mean common citizens) to make way for low-income single family home construction in Brooklyn. But then on national TV he pretends like he doesn’t know what the f*ck it is and that the work Obama and others did/do in that role isn’t important. What a dick! I mean, you have to admit that’s prickish, all poltics aside (please God, let hamous know that’s prickish).

Do you know that if I were a real Karl Rove type of bastard, I’d probably PURPOSEFULLY misspell your login name as “hummus,” the middle-eastern food made from chickpeas? And then I might suggest that you have secret Muslim ties. And I might next misspell your name as HAMAS (or sit back and say nothing as other people mistakenly called you that), and accuse you of supporting terror. Or just wonder aloud if “Hamas” really loves his country. But I won’t do that. That’s not how I operate. But that’s how some in the GOP roll, apparently, and that’s why I f’ing hate them (but I re-emphasize that the hate doesn’t fill me; it’s really only a small sliver of my emotional pie-graph).

  22. seanp on September 6th, 2008 at 3:47 am

And hummus (kidding), you still haven’t told me who the kosby kids are. Does one of them say stuff like, “Hey-ba hamas, why-ba ain’t you gonna vote ba Obama?” (Remember that guy?)

  23. golfer1 on September 6th, 2008 at 4:54 am

That’s okay…I already burned a copy of the convention playing that song onto my computer. I have it for my personal records…

  24. davewolfgang on September 6th, 2008 at 7:21 am

Boy seanp, from reading your rants this morning here, you really are hate filled.

And just for common law info. Any type of gathering can use just about any music they want (as long as they have a legal copy of it and didn’t download it off napster) for any type of gathering as long as they aren’t trying to make money OFF OF the music. That’s why I can have a BBQ Pool party and play any CD I want to and not be able to get sued by whomever wrote or sang the song, even though I’m playing it in public.

But you also notice what types of musicians don’t mind who plays their music, and the ones that do? (i.e. - most country artists that love this country love when anyone plays their songs, where as the “rock/pop” musicians are the jerks who they don’t want anyone whom they think as “evil” to even be in any picture if one of their songs is heard).

Now the community organizer stuff is about the fact that earlier in the campaign BO and his cronies were “pushing” all this past experience that BO has in this and that, and then when someone came in that ACTUALLY had Executive experience, they poo-pooed it, like it didn’t matter. From everything I have read and found out (from BOTH sides) his “community organizer” stint was basically him talking to poor people and getting them all riled up and then going to the “people in charge” demanding this and that for the “riled up masses”. Yeah, that kind of experience will help in world events. And when someone comes along who actually HAS experience where the buck DID stop with them and they DID have to make the tough choices…”oh, it’s only Alaska” “oh, it’s just a small state”. I’m sorry, but Mayor of the “smallest town in the country” or Governor of the “smallest state in the union” still give you more experience than BO has.

And what in the world do you have against Karl Rove? Talk about some anger issues there.

  25. jimb on September 6th, 2008 at 7:25 am

Hamous has been called worse than “hummus” by more imaginative detractors.

    Just sayin’…

  26. jimb on September 6th, 2008 at 7:31 am

It’s a lie by omission to suggest that ol’ Brooks and Dunn are gracious as hell about their song, but all the libs are bunch of hate-filled (there’s that word again) monsters.

Um, you ever heard of irony? That’s all hamous is pointing out! Nobody’s saying that all Republican-leaning artists are gracious about their music and all Dem leaning artists are schmucks.

It’s like the stuff about ‘community organizing’ the other night. Republicans can stand there and bash community organizing as if it’s the work of Satan, yet then the next night McCain talks about how great it is to defend your country and help your community.

Just for the record, I’m not hearing anybody say that comminity organizing work is bad, just that Barack Obama’s record which includes being a community organizer and voting “present” on controversial bills in Illinois, and his US Senate work which includes primarily campaigining for President, doesn’t render him qualified to BE President.

Do you know that if I were a real Karl Rove type of bastard, I’d probably PURPOSEFULLY misspell your login name as “hummus,” the middle-eastern food made from chickpeas? ROFL. He says that’s not how he operates, just after he throws each and every one of those suggestions out there.

Look around you, buddy. There’s plenty of leftists that are extremely hateful and that’s exactly how they roll. Some on the right are no better. But on balance, I see far more of that behavior in the mainstream left than in the mainstream right.

    You’re a pretty good example.

Saturday’s Word of the Day: Paralipsis

Here’s the deal, seanp. Clearly this is a right-leaning site, but we have a few regulars that are left of center. For the most part everyone here gets along because they refrain from the troll-like behavior you graced us with upon your arrival. They get in heated but respectful discussions. If things get out of hand one of the moderators will step in to calm everyone down. But if you come in here jumping up and down calling everyone racists don’t expect to be around for very long.

  30. Ghost Rider on September 6th, 2008 at 10:28 am

Let’s just ignore seanp. Trolls can’t exist without feedback.

My understanding about the music is that once the musicians sell it publicly, like the vast majority of all commody manufacturers, they lose control of who their buyers are. In return, they make money, often a lot of money. So if they really want to control who plays their songs, they should sell them from a restricted web site that checks the identities and backgrounds of their buyers BEFORE allowing them to buy the songs. That would have the added benefit of making the approved customers feel really, really special.

But they don’t do that, and never will, so they should just shut up.

If McCain is President in 2012, we can look forward to a Palin vs. Clinton matchup. If that isn’t scripted by WWF - or at least by the scriptwriters of Desperate Housewives - it will be a real shame. Talk about missed opportunities! Can we bring back Celebrity Deathmatch?

  33. Darren10 on September 6th, 2008 at 1:18 pm

    SeanP;

Did Quanel X ever live in Arizona? Did you ever live in a non-skinhead area in Arizona? Don Black (oh I love the irony in his name) is hardly the type of GOPer anybody here identifies with.

The tatoo you referred to is very prison-cultured oriented. Prison gangs are VERY divided along racial lines. You have Aryan gangs which like whites.

This linked via from Gangs Or Us

Neo-Nazis, racist skinheads, white supremacists and others in the hate movement use symbols like swastikas, “SS” thunderbolts, runes and group logos to intimidate individuals and communities. Hate symbols are more than just “signs” demonstrating racist, anti-Semitic and anti-Christian attitudes and beliefs — these symbols are meant to instill a sense of fear and insecurity. One finds hate symbols scrawled on the outside walls of synagogues, churches and schools; depicted on fliers and literature distributed in communities; tattooed on the bodies of white supremacists, or proudly displayed as jewelry or on clothing. These symbols give haters a sense of power and belonging, and a quick way of identifying with others who share their ideology. They offer a visual vocabulary that is used by a variety of extremists including the Ku Klux Klan, the neo-Nazi National Alliance and such Identity groups1 as Aryan Nations and the Posse Comitatus.

The ADL database contains symbols used by neo-Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan, racist skinheads, established hate groups, white supremacists and racist prison gangs. Not surprisingly, there is some degree of overlap among symbols used by these various groups.

1 Identity groups believe that white Europeans, not Jews, are the real Biblical “Chosen People,” that Jews are the children of Satan, that the white race is inherently superior to others and that Blacks and other non-whites are “mud people” without a soul.

Read my next post about the Black Geurilla Family..

    I love you seanp.

  34. Darren10 on September 6th, 2008 at 1:25 pm

    seanp;

I love you soooooooooooooooooooooooo much dude.

    Anyhow, her’s the BGF ideology:

Ideology/Philosophy: The BGF is the most “politically” oriented of the major prison gangs. It was formed as a Marxist/Maoist/Leninist revolutionary organization with stated goals to eradicate racism, struggle to maintain dignity in prison, and overthrow the U.S. Government.

In otherwords, their ideology matches up perfectly with that of modern-day progressives/liberals/Democrats. And according to your logic, we should use the Black Geurrilla Family to characterize ALL Democrats.

    As for their membership:

Membership Characteristics: Black inmates - though small in number, the BGF has a very strict death oath which requires a life pledge of loyalty to the gang.

What inmates? Again, what kind of inmates? Here, fill in the blank with the appropriate letters: __ __ __ __ __ inmates. Something tells me that this is NOT the type of liberalism you perscribe to. Especially the strict death oath part. Yucky!!!

    Link

But, despite the deep contrasts in mind and heart, I love them and I love you too.

  39. Ken Kelley on September 6th, 2008 at 4:14 pm

to seanp, at #20 and other entries:
You said something which raises a question in my mind. You said:

“We nominated a black presidential candidate ….”

But what does that have to do with anything? If you’ll forgive a paraphrase, wasn’t it Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who said “let us not judge a man by the color of his skin, but rather, by the content of his character”??? So Obama happens to be a black guy. Why does that matter? Frankly, I’m much more interested in his core ideological beliefs and his established credentials regarding experience, than in his skin color.

Besides, wasn’t it the Democrats who castigated Clarence Thomas, J. C. Watts, and Condoleezza Rice as being “not black enough”???

And since you brought up civil rights, did you miss the history lesson which reports that it was the Democrats which fought the passage of major civil rights legislation, losing to the Republicans who pushed it into law?

It seems to me that your perspective is a bit warped, compared to the realities of history.

    my 2¢,
    – Ken

You said that part of the Democratic agenda is the overthrow of the U.S. government, right? Anway, gotta go. The Russians are coming!

When did I say that? His tax plan won’t help; nor his green army; nor paying for college; nor universal healthcare.

I AM SURE MRS OBAMA NOR MRS BIDEN WOULD DESCRIBE THEMSELVES AS PITBULLS BECAUSE THEY ARE CLASSY PROFESSIONALS

Actually, I bet they thought Palin’s remark was funny. As I told a coworker the other day who expressed desire to sick Palin on him because she is hot, she’s a small town girl who clings to her guns and to her religion. Sh’d drop him dead in an instant; so he’d better be careful thinking nasty thoughts about her. Also, I sure as heck wouldn’t want to piss her off f she were my neighbor. I guess calling America bad names and not loving her until your spouse runs for President is classy too. JFK would be proud of their high class.

Also, how much caritable work has Michelle Obama done? At least ones that didn’t double her pay check.

SARAH PALIN IS ALLOWING THE MALE DOGS IN HER PARTY TO SCREW HER (THE FEMALE PITBULL) MCCAIN USED HUCLEBEE TO GET RID OF ROMNEY THEN HE DUMPED HIM

Getting rid of Huckabee was good. Romney was most likely his second top pick.

MCCAIN IS NOW USING THE PITBULL TO BARK AT THE DEMOCRATS THEN HE WILL FIND AN EXCUSE TO DUMP HER JUST AS HOW HE DUMPED HIS SICK WIFE

While moral decisions are too high a pay grade for Obama (thus voting “present”), what was John McCain’s answer when asked what his greatest [moral] failure in life was? I’m willing to leave the past in the past. That was wrong bt it happened decades ago.

THE ONLY REASON HE HASN’T DUMP THE BARBE CINDY IS BECAUSE HE CAN LIVE OFF HER FOR FREE

Unlike Obama and his revered “G*d dam* America” pastor; McCain so far has stood strongly by Sarah Palin’s. He’s even threatened legal action on the Enquirer for hinting that Sarah has been unfaithful. I wouldn’t dump the “Barbie Chick” neither were I him. Even if it were for selfish reasons.

The greatest political decision McCain’s ever made, by far, was choosing Palin. She’s a gift to America.
