Wow very telling that nobody has responded. The eye passed through about an hour ago, we are being blasted again. Have heard several thuds and bangs but so far everything seems to be intact. Just have to see if I can go back to sleep again.
Power was out here until about 10:45 am. It flicked on and off all nite, I had to unplug anything with compressors so they wouldn’t burn up.
2 small trees are about 90% down in our yard. I had one tied to the frame of my truck because it was looking like it was going down at like 8 PM last nite. No other immediately obvious damage, but the wind was a mofo last nite. Sustained speeds relatively high, but the gusts were way up there. Windows facing south were creaking like a mofo. I thought one of them was going to go.
I can’t imagine that centerpoint restored our power out here. Musta been a product of the winds subsiding. Still fairly gusty, I am reasonably sure that the crews aren’t out just yet, at least up north.
We had a power line go loose, and touch another line at about 11. I saw it happen, but the lights stayed on. Tried calling centerpoint to report the down line, but their phone lines are tied up.
I can make calls on AT&T about 50% of the time right now. I’m mostly just texting.
Respect?
Hey guys just lost power over here at I45 and 1960. Will update from blackberry if anything develops.
OK, storm’s over. Matt says so!
Communications check. Who still has power, and what part of town are you in?

Good morning.

That liveblogging tool would be great in the debates.
