Kevin Whited at blogHouston has finally heard back from Steve Jetton, the Chronicle’s purported reader representative (ha!) regarding editorial-board member Andrea Georgsson’s unethical political contributions. Here’s Jetton’s dispatch:

A Chronicle editorial writer made political campaign contributions that she regrets. We’ve dealt with it internally and appreciate your concern.

Let’s look at it in closer detail:

You’re still lying.

and appreciate your concern.

Now you’re just lying badly.

If their lips are moving or their fingers are over a keyboard….they are lying and/or twisting and spinning the truth. One good thing, The Chronicle has endorsed Lampson for reelection in the 22nd House District. That’s good news for Pete Olson. The Chronicle’s record for picking winners is abysmal. Go, Pete!
