Yes it’s going to be a long four years, and Obama is going to find it very difficult to play all sides. In his interview with George S, Sunday, he said Gitmo is a complex matter, and will take some time to deal with. His first executive order, according ot team members, will be to close Gitmo. I don’t think it will happen.

    Good morning AW:
Agreed. He’s going to find it harder and harder to deal with the complex issues he’s going to be faced with. It’s one thing to make campaign promises and it’s another to be able to do what’s right for our country after seeing all of the facts and implications of various situations. He will soon have to weigh much more heavily on his decisions and what those outcomes will effect.

/’scuse the grammer. it’s early and I’m off to a Chamber of Commerce networking breakfast. See you ladies and gents later! Have a blessed day!

You sound awfully optimistic. I doubt we’ll get off that easy.

So when does the Muslim guy get to do his thing or do we have to wait for a certain time for them to pray for Hussein?

    What about the Druids?

If Hussein is going to cover all the bases, religion wise, when does Hussein’s old pastor, Rev. Wrong, get to do his thing. Or is Hussein saving him for consultation purposes when and if he strays like when Bill went to Jesse for help.

Seems to me when one tries to be all things to all people, one is likely to end up being nothing to everybody.

This morning Obama announced two additional inaugural efforts to reach out to the religious right wing homophobes: At one event, James Dobson and Pat Robertson will “team-channel” the spirit of Jerry Fallwell, and the final Benediction of the event will be delivered by Pastor Deacon Fred.

Robinson is the priest who left his wife and kids to be with his boyfriend and was punished by his denomination by promoting him to Bishop. That’ll learn ‘em.

This is supposed to balance the selection of Rick Warren for the inauguration prayer. I’m hoping that Warren grows a . . . spine before then and prays to the real God with a real prayer, unlike what Robinson has promised to do:

“While that is a holy and sacred text to me, it is not for many Americans,” Robinson said. “I will be careful not to be especially Christian in my prayer. This is a prayer for the whole nation.”

Well, he’s been very careful to not be especially Christian thus far. And just who does he think he’ll be praying to? And will that person be listening when you are explicitly denying him, not to mention how you teach the opposite of what He says? Does Robinson even know what prayer means? Has he read that text he is so fond of?

I hope all these prayers are answered in the order in which they are received (just as Obama is answering all our questions in the order in which they are asked). Who was first?

So when does Obama decide to be all things for true conservatives? I won’t hold my breath.

As part of his plan for socialized health care, Obama will cure teh gayz!
