Employer dental insurance is often the first benefit to disappear when a professional leaves a corporate job to incorporate. Jack Stromgren, DDS, has built a plan for San José founders in that position.

The Jack Stromgren Executive Protection Dental Plan was introduced on Sept. 29, 2026.

Solopreneurs, freelancers, consultants, early-stage founders and executives working in the gig economy across San José and Santa Clara County make up its audience. Its purpose is affordable dental care for people who carry no insurance.

The Benefit That Leaves With the Job

For those professionals, the plan treats a dental emergency as a business continuity event.

A molar that cracks hours before a meeting with investors is the example the plan gives. In its messaging, an event like that can also derail a product launch or a trip to see a client.

The plan comes out of Stromgren’s Willow Glen practice on Lincoln Avenue, where he is the owner and general dentist.

Borrowed From Close Protection

The design brings the planning habits of executive close protection to dental care. Those principles center on preparation, and the plan draws on them with respect for the security profession.

Its four pillars are Advance Work, Rapid Response, The Inner Circle and Zero Blind Spots.

At the head of the model is one dentist answering for one plan. The plan likens his role to the detail lead on a protective team, in contrast to an insurance call center.

The release ties the plan to his clinical experience as a dentist for Willow Glen patients and the wider county, a career set out in his professional profile.

How the Executive Protection Dental Plan Divides the Work

Advance Work begins each membership with a full diagnostic workup. The resulting map of risks, from grinding and gum disease to dry mouth and aging restorations, shapes a care calendar for the coming year. The release frames this pillar as finding dental needs while they are still far from urgent.

The plan rests on the premise that this preventive work comes in below the price of an emergency. Rapid Response, which the release ties to access when a problem comes up unexpectedly, covers the emergencies themselves. It offers visits on the day a problem appears or the one after and a dedicated phone line into the office.

The office’s new appointments are booked roughly 11 weeks ahead. Plan members get priority scheduling.

The Inner Circle links members to periodontists, endodontists and implant specialists. The release describes the pillar as coordination with a fitting specialist network. Stromgren handles each referral, so no member has to sort them out alone.

Zero Blind Spots handles the coverage side. Its terms are published up front, meant to keep members clear of unexpected bills and of guessing about denied claims. In the release, the pillar stands for clear coverage information.

The release is careful about limits, saying the framework cannot guarantee that all dental problems will be avoided. It describes the goal as putting preparation and access at the center of the coverage model, alongside coordination and transparency.

The Dentist Behind the Design

The plan reflects a clinical career that spans more than two decades. Jack Stromgren grew up in Turlock, in the Central Valley, and earned his DDS at the University of California, San Francisco in 2005.

A hospital residency at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center followed, where the hospital caseload brought him patients with complex medical histories and a wide range of conditions. He then spent eight years as an associate in a busy Sunnyvale group practice, where crown and bridge work took up much of his time, before buying his Willow Glen office in 2014. It had about 1,100 patients and four operatories at the time.

Under his ownership the office has grown to five operatories and passed 3,000 active patients, and an associate dentist joined the team in 2022. Restorative and implant dentistry form the core of his clinical work, with implants added after several years of dedicated continuing education.

The office’s restorative work includes crowns, bridges and repairs for teeth that are decayed, cracked or worn. Its services page puts accurate diagnosis first, then a clear treatment plan and careful clinical work, and every implant treatment opens with an evaluation.

Adults and families come in for routine exams and cleanings as part of the general care, and visits are booked with time to evaluate and talk through options. His biography traces a direct, thorough and unhurried manner of care to his hospital training.

By the release’s count, he has run his own practice for more than ten years. It also credits his community work with shaping the plan’s attention to access. His free dental day has run every November since 2016, with 60 to 70 patients treated at his expense each time.

He also serves on the Willow Glen Free Clinic board and spent six years running a sealant program in elementary schools across east San José. Youth soccer coaching and a Little League sponsorship round out his local involvement.
